Audi Q8 e-tron flagship electric SUV to be discontinued in early 2025 Audi has confirmed that it will discontinue its flagship electric SUV, the Q8 e-tron early next year.
The German carmaker has already stopped accepting any new orders for the SUV, with production being ceased on February 28th, 2025. The Audi Q8 e-tron was first unveiled in concept form in 2015, before being sold in the international market in 2018. At the time of launch, the SUV was named the Audi e-tron, but it was renamed Q8 e-tron in 2022 with the arrival of its facelifted version. Audi will be discontinuing both, the Q8 e-tron and the Q8 Sportback e-tron.
The final iteration of the flagship SUV received significant updates as part of its facelift. The 2022 facelift got larger batteries increasing the Q8 e-tron's range to 550 km. The range-topping variant of the SUV came in the form of the tri-motor SQ8, producing 496 BHP and 973 Nm.
While reports do state that an all-new Q8 e-tron could arrive in 2026, based on the PPE platform; Audi is yet to officially confirm the same.
