Tesla has announced a bunch of new features as part of this year's 'Holiday Update.' This includes WatchOS support, access to sentry mode video on the phone, reverse cross-traffic alert and a "Santa-Mode" for Cybertrucks.

The most significant update, though, is Tesla App's support for Apple WatchOS. It allows users to turn their Apple Watches into a digital key to lock/unlock their cars. It also allows customers to experience a bunch of other features, including viewing the car's charge status, opening the frunk, and even adjusting the climate control remotely, without the need to open the app on their smartphone.



The other important update is that owners can now view dashcam & sentry mode video recordings on their smartphones. The video clips can even be saved on the device and shared with any law enforcement or insurance personnel in case of any incident.

Even the AdrenoX app for my ScorpioN allows me to do all the above on my cellular apple watch (except dashcam and recordings because Mahindra doesn’t have any inbuilt cam).

Tesla is just late to the party. There were many third party apps which enabled Apple watch as key for Tesla.

They are talking about using the phone app as a digital key. That is not allowed by Mahindra. You must still carry the physical key to drive off with the vehicle. (or am I wrong here ?)

Also, the dashcam recordings cannot be accessed from Adrenox (I have the AX7L with the add-on SD card). [This system is positively primitive in comparison the the rest of Adrenox stuff and needs to be accessed only via the infotainment touch screen]
