Very petty and childish from Indigo to be honest. These are two completely different segments and Mahindra has named their car "BE 6E" not just "6E".

Its like BMW suing Indigo for using "6E" because they already had "6 Series" since 1970's or so?

I have travelled through Indigo sometimes and I didn't even know they have something called as "6E". Big deal!

The car packs a lot and not everyone was able to catch up with every little bit in the perhaps short preview (e.g. how this review initially missed the rear center head-rest that was very neatly tucked in).

Many reviewers missed the gesture-controlled boot opening in the BE 6E (v/s the XEV 9E), but looks like it gets one indeed. Check this video

The horn is really badly positioned, and on top of it it's a capacitive touch rather than a button. Who designed this thing!!!

The switches are not up and down, they are forward and backward. I think of them as regular switches turned upright. So towards you is up and away from you is down.

Dear All, I may sound stupid, but is it possible that when Mahindra announce the final pricing of BE 6e & XEV 9e in January 2025, we will get a shocker that 18.90 lacs and 21.90 lacs price is without the battery (just like MG Windsor BaaS) and the battery cost is Rs.6 lacs for 59kWh and 8 lacs for 79kWh battery pack. (posting this message in XEV 9e thread also)

Comparing BaaS Windsor to BaaS BE 6E, the BE 6E isn't 1.9x better than a Windsor. Surely the price can't be 1.9x of a Windsor.

Anyways, had this been with BaaS, Mahindra would have let us know in advance.

At launch, Mahindra clearly indicated the price did not include the charger (or installation of the same). Had it not included the battery, I am pretty sure they would have called it out.

Lol, this is impossible. If anything the last 3 cars of Mahindra were also priced lower at the introduction phase. Expect the price to go up by 2 lakhs for each variant 6 months after the release.

Any idea when display cars or TD cars will arrive in the showrooms, generally after media drives within a week cars are at showrooms. I checked with a dealer and they have no communication yet.

They have successfully created the needed buzz in the market and I know many people who are considering the 6E or 9E, people who never spoke of EVs.

Given the gap between the launch and booking/test drive window, the buzz will slow down a bit and may not reflect in the initial booking numbers. Don’t know why they did the launch in November when variant distribution and booking windows are 1 to 1.5 months away.

I am not expecting Mahindra to increase prices like their ICE variants. Unless Govt suddenly wakes up to increase the GST. In EV space, we are seeing prices falling these days. I am sure the competition would not sit there and let Mahindra eat all the pie.

Any idea what is the 0-100 time of the 59kwh? Also, does anybody have an image of a person seated in the rear seat of the 59kwh version? Was wondering if a lower floor would mean better rear seat comfort.

Also, sorry for the noob question but most reviews mention an AWD version being launched at a later date. Could someone confirm whether adding motors to the front wheels would increase power or reduce the range?

The amount of design and engineering that went into the suspension and body. Video is in tamil but one can still understand a few bits. Every shape, design choice and material used is for a purpose. Even the choice of RWD helps in cutting down the length of HV cables improving efficiency.

Otto I feel the price would increase not due to battery costs but for R&D recuperation on ADAS tech, the sound system, chassis and all.

But again, Pack 2 and Pack 3 might be priced a lot more, so who knows. Let's wait for Jan.
