Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

Hey. So I got my first car. It's as beautiful as it is a monster inside. My car was apparently the first one in Sireesh so safe to assume apparently that it probably was the first one in Bangalore.

I was all smiles throughout the whole process. Everything was seemless and there were a couple of people who came from Mahindra

After this I went to pick up my sister and her fiance.

Drove around the city with all eyes on us.

Went to Airlines and I think there were a lot of pictures and videos that will be posted by people on SM

My favourite moment was when a guy was visibly happy at looking at the car on the road.

This is just me, having a moment with my brand new BE6

I had a couple of issues with the trunk locking in, but that will be fixed. The middle panel was a bit scratched, will get it PPFd immediately.

The V8 sound isn't as loud but does make a good effect on an open road. Turns heads. I wish the volume was slightly higher but it's alright.
It takes sometime to get over the initial anxiety especially when there is chaotic traffic like in Bangalore.
My charger isn't installed yet but I think it's not a big problem given that I have concerns at my house to sanction the load etc.

But happy to answer any questions!

Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

Congrats to all the recent owners. Somehow the BE6 very “6E” with the DRLs switched off. I hope someone can bring in a DRL deleter mod or even Mahindra can provide a software option for folks that think like me.

I mean you can just turn them off from the console. That's an option in the console menu.

Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

I am very much interested to know whether any of the enthusiasts in the forum did decent range tests after getting the BE6?
I am not talking about 100-0, but 70-30 or 80-40 would suffice to understand how the battery packs are performing.

Very pale response or rather no response from the SA.
It would be helpful if you could pass on the contact number of the executive who responds well there.
Thank you
Very odd.
Talk to Jiju - while he is in charge of ICE, he has a good customer attitude and he will push the EV folks.

One day sure, a cup of coffee. Maybe at Bittangala when I turn up that side to meet my pals.

Odd Indeed. My SA was Srinath and he was absolutely amazing to what I expected SAs to be for a high demand vehicle.

Its tough to get a range test without a long trip. My vehicle was fully charged and was given to me at 90kms. Its already at 175 kms today, and I'm still at 76% charge.

At this point I don't know if I'm consuming more battery, less battery. I haven't used an EV before.

May I ask why you don't like the DRLs?

I know

To be honest, it is just that the Creta EV forums are already gung ho on the "Fuel Efficiency" of the EV and talking about 500 km REAL world range which made me curious about the M&M offering.

Is it the 79 KWH battery pack that you have got? If you used up aprox. 24% to cover 175 kms, Then you would theoretically be able to do > 700 KM if you utilize the full 100%! And you seem to be getting > 9 km/kwh which seems quite good

if its 85km @ 24% then its a range of 340-350km, its on the lower side for a 79KW battery but that is expected since you are new to EVs, you will get better over time and should hit the 400-450km mark eventually.

Heartiest Congratulations. Being a fellow XUV300 owner, I have followed your post's in details for many queries and those were super helpful. My car has completed 2 years and somewhere in mid 2026, I too plan to upgrade to BE6E. Please keep posted about your observations and feedback on the car.

There is no way this Beast does 175km @ 24%, you missed the 90km the car had already covered at 100%

In general, I am not a big fan of overdone DRLs, especially on the Mahindra XUV range of 700 or 3XO etc. The BEVs are also in this category. I like the subtle “eyebrow” philosophy that many other cars, including Mahindra Scorpio-N, follow. I loved this below pic of BE6 by Navind with DRLs switched off.

I took the chronological sequence as charged to 100%-> Done 90 kms -> and handed over.

But I agree the math makes some sense if the chrono sequence of charge -> Do 90 kms -> charge again to 100% -> hand over

But 340 for a mammoth 79 kwh for a Creta ish sized vehicle is meh!

Thank you! Glad I was of some help!

I fully intend to document my journey with this thing as well. Hoping to put up a detailed review at 1000km or so.

Let's see.

Congratulations. Great car overall.

1. Is the driver drowsiness detection alarm working okay? In my test drive it kept going on and off for no reason.
2. The rear door handles on the outside and the fabric-handle on the inside seem quite quirky. Do you like them?
3. What are your recharge-plans?
