Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

Hi, in my view both BE 6 and XEV 9e require matt finish paint protection film (PPF) at all the external glossy area. Similarly in interior it require protective film something like we see as transparent mobile skin (or may be matt finish PPF is also possible there) at all the glossy black area. I think it will cost around 60K to get it done outside & inside.

I heard 1st lot delivery starts from March - April, and priority is given to Bangalore and Mumbai. Production vehicle comes with BE 6 badge.

One of my friend had a look at the car and he recorded a walkaround video.

Gloss black plastics look shabby in the pics but in real it's good.
Thanks! This is really encouraging to hear, after all the complaints of thigh support and rear seat comfort in an EV coupe. Whats your opinion on the interior cockit style, did it look out of place? Wondering if it would age well.
If the interior is ok, I am considering to cancel my Roxx booking and try the BE 6 instead.

Interior Cockpit style looks very sporty and feels like a driver car than a commuting family car. Couple may feel bad for the barricade between them Wireless Mobile charger is little out of reach when u have to access it frequently. Ignition(start/stop) button is out of place, even kids in the car can interfere. Key dock could have been at the phone charger place and phone charger could have been at key dock IMO. Some buttons could have been on the seperation console instead of right side area below the steering wheel. Over all a good and fresh feel for sure. A luxury SUV couple for this price is definitely yes.

Can confirm on this. My wife straight away rejected the car because of this single reason. Let's see how it looks in person.

Women and their weird reasons! My wife too at first didn't like it, but considering the overall package we are happy to keep this at the top of consideration list!

Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

How is the road presence/ driving position of both BE6E and Xev9E?

Is it comparable to Creta/Seltos for BE6e and Harrier/XUV700 for Xev9E?

My house is very close to this place, near Kamakhya, right?

Did you get a chance to drive it? Is the car still there?

Yes. It's near Kamakhya. I stay very close by. Yes I got a chance to drive but for a very very short distance.

Doesn't PPF hurt the paint in the long run? Will ceramic coating be more useful in this case?

Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

hi

All those guys who have seen be6 and 9e sat in it / driven it, I have a couple of questions:

I am in for buying atleast one of those, unless Mahindra pulls a surprise package on top-end model pricing. I am definitely inclined towards be6 love its styling etc. However, I need to know the comfort levels in the backseat. I have checked every YT review available.

No one in my family is above 5.6ft height so that is not an issue, neither I am expected more than two people in the back, the question is what is the % wise difference between the back seats of both the cars in terms of legroom, thigh support, overall space, considering both are same platform and same wheelbase.

Does the backseat of 9e go back and forth reach wise apart from recline ?

Second is the ride quality, from the YT reviews its obvious that be6 suspension is slightly stiffer, but is it noticeably stiffer vs 9e ? Considering the semi-active dampening, does it help ?

The reason is I need the be6 to be chauffeur driven say 50% of the time ( I know its counter intuitive ) but during peak hours that makes sense, is that too much of a compromise vs 9e in terms of back seat ?

Thanks

Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

Saw the BE 6 at Synergy Mahindra, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi today. Looks funky and very eye catching indeed !

The interiors too feel very funky but the choice of upholstery is such a downer. The seats look worn out already in this particular vehicle. The piano black panels are such a scratch and dirt magnet. This car, probably one of the media drive cars, already has plenty of scratches on the interior panels. Test drives have started however the dealership did not hint at any expected price range yet.
