Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

I saw a heavily camouflaged BE6 today on a highway near Chennai. Why the camouflage now? Is Mahindra cooking up an AWD?

LETTER TEMPLATES FOR GETTING 15 YEARS WARRANTY & OPT-OUT OF CHARGER PURCHASE

If you are a company/partnership/LLP and want to get 15 years warranty instead of 10 years OR want to opt-out of the compulsory charger purchase, here are the formats you can use in your Body Corporate/LLP/Partnership.

Also, paid PDI services are available from Zekardo, Cars24 and CarVaidya in all the big cities.
Since the deliveries have started from yesterday and most of us have our PDIs in the upcoming days/ weeks, I have created a PDI checklist for both the BE6 and XEV 9E. I have tried to cover all areas.

Please go through this and looking forward to all your feedback. The form can be digitally filled from your phone or tablet and you can carry a print out of the same if preferred.

It should be AWD.
They showed this along with BE6 and XEV9 before with the name Rall.e

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Has anyone in this forum got the delivery of their car?

Just had a word with my SA and they are saying delay is purely because of FOTA (firmware over the air) update pending. They are saying that for the 30 odd cars allocated only 4 cars have completed that update and mahindra gives them clearance for only those Chassis numbers as ok to be delivered.

I'm concerned with the pathetically slow rollout and wondering if Mahindra can actually manage future updates efficiently if this is how slow things are going to be for them. I've emailed the Support team for more details, let's see what happens. Experience is totally ruined though. The excitement is no longer there with the way the dealership and Mahindra is continuously delaying things.

My RTO and other formalities were already done on 13th March and been waiting since then.

Yes, somewhat similar to that image but it didn't have that roof thing. I couldn't take a picture as it was moving in the opposite direction.

I would gladly cancel my 9E booking and wait for AWD version if there is any reliable information about AWD launch.

Yes, this is the ground reality down South also. I think the odd deliveries that happened were for those vehicles which are cleared in their system.

Even RTO process is not done here. This by itself would have been ok, especially given the upcoming RTO charge increase in certain places effective 1st April.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Just saw a fully camouflaged 9E on NH132B where I spotted 6E earlier today. Couldn't take pic as it was moving in the opposite direction.

Either Mahindra is continuing to test thier cars after launch or they are cooking up something new.

Why will it be camaflouged unless there is something new in it, or else these are old test vehicles that are being moved around

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

XEV just came home!

One update is still pending, it would be done over the weekend. Some of the accessories aren't in stock (mats, illuminated scuff plate, screen protector).

I'll hopefully do a longer drive over the weekend after the update and I'll keep you guys updated!

Major lookouts
1. Panel gaps - in door alignment, boot and bonnet
2. Door wouldn't close - would budget back unless applying exorbitant force
3. Boot lever to collapse rear seat - wouldn't work unless pulled to extreme.

Disappointed by Mahindra quality control. Have asked for a vehicle from the next batch. Or will push my purchase by a few months.
Just did the PDI today.

Similar to the above observation, the front doors do not close fully with a normal push, and require more than adequate effort to shut close completely. Noticed some panel gap between the tail DRLs and the boot. The cars were full of dust externally as well as internally and the SA said that they had just been back from the workshop after receiving software updates. Hence, the protective stickering had also been removed from the steering and door panels etc.

Although the odo just read 111 kms, but I'm sure that it has been digitally reset to arrive at that figure and would be more actually.

Noticed 2 different make tyres on the vehicles.. One from Goodyear and other from MRF.

I'm in rush to avoid the 6percent tax increase in Maharashtra, else I would have definitely asked for a vehicle from the next batch

Same here buddy. My XEV 9e was also full of dust inside out. Front left fender has a panel gap near A Pillar. Vehicles odo was 108kms. Want to avoid 6% Tax increase and todays news is that Mahindra will hike all SUV’s prices by 3% from 1st April 2025. So total of 9% saved.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Finally got it home yesterday! Has given me efficiency of 22 kms in 4%. Drove like a normal ICE car on highway.
Mahindra XEV 9e Review-20250322_065729.jpg

8.7km/kwh is damn good.
