I was talking about Tesla implementation there, not Mahindra's. Pretty sure Mahindra's system is what the vendor gave them and they cant change it unless the vendor does it for them, and that is if they even can.

I don't know what the battery chemistry has to do with percentage drop but a percentage point here and there is not a cause for concern. I am not sure about Mahindra but my Tesla would sometimes keep the battery coolant pump running after parking to manage temps. The battery will see a drop in cold weather too.

There are other draws too even when the car is standing like the cellular modem which is connected to the internet.

2% overnight is a bit much in my opinion and is not normal for the course. The car is definitely keeping some systems "on" due to whatever reason which are consuming power. Is there a comsumption app in Mahindra like Tesla? Does it show in detail which system are consuming power?

You should never leave an LFP chemistry battery fully charged for a long time. The recommendation is to charge to 100% once a week so that the BMS can balance the cells and report battery percentage correctly. If you are using your car regularly, just keep topping it up to 80% and go to 100% once a week. If you do go to 100% make sure the car is not at 100% for days on end.

A couple of percent overnight is NOT normal unless some systems in the car are on for whatever reason. I might be speculating here but since you mention the app, is there a way to tell if the app is always connected to the car even when it is running in the background? Because if it is, the drain could be coming from the computer system which handles this being on and cellular modem consuming power to keep the car connected.

I don't think DID should be on while charging. It could turn on when the user is near the car to show battery percentage or other useful info but in the normal course, I dont think it should be on. Like you mentioned, approach the car without the key and see if it is still on.

Here's what the manual says: HV Battery cell Balancing: The system does cell balancing and charges the LV system based on the LV battery voltage. So even if the vehicle is fully charged and left for sometime, the SOC may drop slightly. This is normal behavior and not a cause of concern.
I just noticed my car is also keeping DID on always with a red icon flashing which the manual says is "Immobiliser" icon. Does anyone know what this icon even means?

There are only 3 splits. 54% driving, 27% AC, 0.5% battery conditioning, rest is others.

In any case the car didn't consume anything tonight as the DID turned off. Left it at 48% and still at that.

Tried approaching without a key, didnt help. Did a factory reset on the settings app, didnt help either.

Suspecting it to be something to do with the Me4U app, i tried locking and unlocking the car with the app, it failed! And then i tried helping the boot going down so that there is no issue with it. When I returned to the car a few hours later, the DID was off.

Later at night after a short drive the DID started staying on again. Repeated the same routine, lock unlock with app (it works now), and pressing the boot; again the DID was off when I checked in the morning + no battery drain.

While charging it's been staying on anyways! Will check again.

Don't think the icon means anything, its just a routine flashing light that all cars have, to indicate locked status.

I still think its something to do with the Me4U app, don't know what or why.

Does it show those details for the current or the latest drive or overall since the battery charged last time? In anycase, 27% for AC seems way to high unless you sat in the car for long periods of time with the A/C on.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Had a quick question

At my place, power cuts do happen (although not frequently), which stops the home charging, and I have to start it again using the RFID tag.

Is there any setting/way to automatically resume charging once power comes back?

Currently my Me4u app doesn't work, but even if there is a setting in there, would love to know about it, so that will start using it once the app starts working for me.

I've compressed the new online manual. They definitely haven't made it easy to download. And even if you do download it's a 1Gb+ file

If your plastic has bubbles anywhere then take a long piece of cello tape and stick most of it on that portion firmly - then pull up *and* back and not directly up because the plastic goes below the dash as well - Do it slowly but firmly - once the corner is out then grab the plastic itself and pull again slowly but firmly.

Basically you want to make your own pull tab because the actual pull tab is covered under the dash.

Can you send a pic of the projector area to show how it looks without the plastic please? I am confused if it's plastic or the actual protector itself that I can see. But there are a lot of scratches and it looks dirty as well now.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Guys did Coimbatore to chennai drive today
1. Started with 100 percent charge at about 6 am, reached A2B aatur -225 kms from start with 47 percent charge left
2. Charged for 36 Mins @ Zeon 50kw- seamless experience. Charged to 80 percent, didn’t wait one minute beyond the time needed for breakfast
3. Activated power saving mode once charge reached 35 percent.
4 Reached chennai at 1:15 pm with 16 percent charge left & rte of 80 kms.
5. Total distance covered = 502 kms, battery used = 52+64 =116 % with average drive speed of 70km/hr (was around 86 till the last hour & pushed down due to chennai traffic)with a total run time of 7 hours and 13 minutes

Niggles faced
1. Driver display went blank once - current trip details went bonkers.
2. Several times there was warning of wheels needing alignment!
3. Once I reached, I noticed that there was one message that system performance is derated.(later when discussing with one co-owner was told that it may be due to open frunk - this was true in my case as I was taking out my luggage with my car running at that time)

What do you suggest? How big of a show stopper are these ongoing software niggles and how concrete of an assurance are you getting from the brand/dealer? Just curious.
I think all over hyderabad this is the same case. As I mentioned in my previous post about my conversation with CEM. He suggested to wait atleast a month to get better product than the first lot. will have to wait and watch for our number.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Hi I am doing my PDI this week, have downloaded the PDI list from this forum. Should I look out for anything more, any tips would help.

How do I find the software version in the vehicle? With so many niggles reported in the forum, I presume an update should settle it. Also, can someone recommend a must have accessories list so that I will not end up spending on something which is not needed. Is a sun film essential these days? I live in Chennai and Madurai where I spend almost 6 months in a year.

Thanks, will try this tomorrow. Did it change the way VISIONx looks on the front windshield or it still remains the same?

It’s crystal clear now and unexpectedly useful I barely look at the DID now!
