Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant, which recently entered the global EV segment with its new SU7 sedan, has managed to achieve a major production milestone.

As per reports, Xiaomi has just rolled out its 100,000th SU7 EV in just 230 days since its market launch. The flagship SU7 EV from Xiaomi arrived in markets in late 2023, receiving a staggering response with over 50,000 orders secured in just 27 minutes.

Xiaomi initially had a target of producing 60,000 units of the SU7 in 2024. However, the company had to bolster its production to keep up with the impressive demand generated. The company built 10,000 units of the SU7 within 32 days of launch. Now, in early November, the Chinese EV maker has reached the 100,000-unit milestone.

Xiaomi is now said to have revised its 2024 targets, aiming to achieve 120,000 units before the start of 2025.

The Xiaomi SU7 is available in three variants: Standard, Pro, & Max, with prices ranging from $29,000, and going up to $41,000. The company also unveiled a performance version called the SU7 Ultra, which will launch sometime in 2025.

Xiaomi's SU7 is a very good looking car. If countries would not have had their import restrictions, the Chinese auto brands would have done the same thing what they did in the mobile market. I know its comparing apples and oranges. But, consumer across the world would have a lot of benefit from the available options. When the market is crowded, you will get something like "Oneplus" or "Nothing" brands which focuses on top experience for quarter of price without compromise on quality.

It is incredible the rise of these machines. The power of unbridled governmental backing and subsidies.

Chinese EV's are far and away better than any manufactured in other countries. It does seem that here also, we in India have kind of ‘missed the bus’.

I'm waiting for one of these to be available here in Australia. There is certainly a cult following for SU7 worldwide. The looks are iconic and I can only see it go in one direction - Forward!

Way to go Xiaomi and what an achievement for Chinese manufacturing!

Re: Xiaomi rolls out its 100,000th SU7 EV in just 230 days since its launch

Xiaomi SU7 brakes failed on the track in two cases.

Owners Xiaomi's best-selling car, the SU7 electric car, has been found out that their cars were not prepared for the track after all.

Quote:
Electric SU7 Max is "on paper" a real electric sports sedan, delivers 673 hp, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and on a single battery charge travels up to 800 kilometers. That's definitely a lot of power and speed, but it seems that it doesn't have enough powerful brakes to be restrained on the track.
Xiaomi's response:
Quote:
We remind you The Xiaomi SU7 Max is a high-performance luxury car for road travel. Use. Please avoid extreme driving such as that of professional the running tracks. The braking system of the SU7 Max uses NAO pads, which are suitable for everyday driving. These are mainstream products that offer balance between braking noise and brake performance, and meet the standards for safe driving on the road. Due to the high speed, the high accumulation of kinetic energy and sharp braking, rapid wear of components under continuously high load and at high temperatures in track conditions, all key The components of the vehicle must meet conditions that exceed those of the daily driving
