Xiaomi initially had a target of producing 60,000 units of the SU7 in 2024. However, the company had to bolster its production to keep up with the impressive demand generated. The company built 10,000 units of the SU7 within 32 days of launch. Now, in early November, the Chinese EV maker has reached the 100,000-unit milestone.

Xiaomi is now said to have revised its 2024 targets, aiming to achieve 120,000 units before the start of 2025.

The Xiaomi SU7 is available in three variants: Standard, Pro, & Max, with prices ranging from $29,000, and going up to $41,000. The company also unveiled a performance version called the SU7 Ultra, which will launch sometime in 2025.

Xiaomi's SU7 is a very good looking car. If countries would not have had their import restrictions, the Chinese auto brands would have done the same thing what they did in the mobile market. I know its comparing apples and oranges. But, consumer across the world would have a lot of benefit from the available options. When the market is crowded, you will get something like "Oneplus" or "Nothing" brands which focuses on top experience for quarter of price without compromise on quality.

It is incredible the rise of these machines. The power of unbridled governmental backing and subsidies.

Chinese EV's are far and away better than any manufactured in other countries. It does seem that here also, we in India have kind of ‘missed the bus’.
