Thank you, i thought they fixed the issue already by referring to the earlier posts here.

No, they haven’t, infact the same message of Jio BP not being available was sent again last week to us, looks like it is going to take a while to fix the issue.

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

Well, I guess the MG Windsor just dropped off my list for the next EV.

Took it for a proper spin today, even sat in the back while the SA drove, and honestly, I'm pretty disappointed. The ride quality, NVH, and seats just didn’t do it for me. I completely agree with DriveDynasty.
Sure, the features are impressive, but living with this car long-term? I don’t think so.

The road noise was excessive, the suspension felt jittery, and every little bump seemed to make its way into the cabin. Sound insulation? Pretty basic. When the Windsor launched, I was amazed at how much it offered for the price. Now I get where the compromises are. Great package that makes an awesome first impression. But the deeper you dig, the more holes you see.

The Nexon EV may be smaller, and sure, the interior isn’t as plush as the Windsor’s, but the driving experience is leagues better. I’ll be test-driving the Curvv tomorrow—fingers crossed it’s a better fit.

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

We took delivery of our new Windsor EV Essence variant yesterday.

100 kilometers driven so far. Almost same impressions as of the review messages in this thread. So not repeating everything.

Few glitches in the usability which I found are:
1. Default regen mode is "heavy", which need to be changed at every start.
2. 360 degree camera which switches on automatically during some turnings not going off always. Needed to close it manually. Not able to recreate any particular scenario on when this is happening. Need to look more into it.
3. Not able to switch back to home screen quickly from Android auto. Need to take AA menu and then select MG. Not sure if there is any easier way.

Some queries to other users:
1. Is there a place to set tyre pressure warning range?
It shows "check tyre pressure" warning once I change the pressure to 33 psi.
2. Any active whatsapp group for owners? Kerala Nexon Owners group was very active and helpful during my Nexon days.

Regards,

You can go to home screen directly by pressing back button on the steering wheel.

This is a talk by Dr. Jeff Dahn. He conducts battery chemistry and battery health studies. He and his team were and are funded by Tesla to conduct studies on existing chemistries and to search for better chemistries so it is safe to assume that results and recommendations based on his studies are the reason why Tesla is so good at battery management. In this pretty long talk + presentation, he informs us about the best practices for LFP batteries based on their charge-discharge studies. Please do watch the video and absorb the great knowledge that Dr. Dahn provides us. It will help you answer your doubts.

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

I've completed 3,000 km on my MG Windsor and wanted to share my experience.

Range:
For city use and local errands, I get a maximum of 200 km per charge, whereas on highways, I get around 260-270 km. (By "highways," I mean Mumbai’s Western Express Highway, where my 17 km office commute usually takes about 40 minutes.) I never let the battery drop below 15%, so these numbers are based on 85% battery usage. I always stick to the default Normal mode with heavy regen.

Comfort:
This is where the car falls short the most. Compared to my other car, the Hector Plus, it's miles behind. It thuds over every pothole without absorbing much impact. That said, after riding an Aerox, this still feels better (no pun intended).

Features:
At this price point, the car offers everything you'd expect, aside from a few bugs that many users have reported. I’m confident MG will address these in future updates.

For fellow owners:
If you're considering an extended warranty, it's best to purchase it as soon as possible. MG increases the cost incidentally based on the kilometers driven.

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

The Underbody protection to the Electric Motor in addition to the suspension looks bit scary as the car can be unstable during turns and curves at high speeds.

I am able to recreate the issue of 360 degree view not getting closed. It is happening when I engage reverse. After I finish reversing and once I put D mode, the camera view is changed to front camera, but the display is not going back to previous one. I have to manually close the 360 view. Is it a common issue or specific to me?

Same thing is happening with my Windsor. This is happening when we reverse the car, the 360 cam view does not go away even after getting back to D.

What do you mean "not going back to previous one"? Do you mean the reverse optics should still be engaged even after you exit reverse? Or do you want the infotainment system to exit the 360 camera screen and go back to home screen once you engage D?

To people asking about the 360 camera issues. I'm pretty sure its the same behavior on all Windsors, and not specific to certain cars.

Tip: There is a gear icon on the camera feed page. You can click on it and turn on "Surround view camera auto exit at 20km/h". That's pretty much all you can do at this point. Unless this is an annoyance for most customers, MG will be reluctant to change the logic and design of the 360 degree camera. For me it gets most annoying in a traffic light when I have to look at the map, but since I used turn indicator, the 360 degree camera comes on and I have to manually close it to go back to maps screen. But this might be an edge case and one that shouldn't be changed for all.

I have the same problem. At turnings, the camera comes on, and maps vanish. I have now assigned the * button to close camera as the shortcut. Saves me the time and distraction to close the camera from the screen. It also helps activate it in tight spaces by click of a button on the steering wheel.

Hope this helps other people having issues with camera working.

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

**Need help**

To all the people on here who are able to extract 250 + range in their Windsors, how exactly are you doing this?
  1. What is your approx range on city rides?
  2. What is you approx range on highways?
  3. What modes do you drive in?
The reason I ask is, I'm struggling to muster 200 KMs in the city. Albeit, my drives aren't extensive (just short distances), this just seems absurd and borderline synonymous with what Comet customers get, with smaller battery.

I did bring this up with the service center, and their response was:
  1. Sudden acceleration and braking (which I don't do) could be the reason.
  2. Driving with AC with more than 2 blower speed contributes to that, so I should keep it 2 or under (ridiculous considering they made a car that doesn't have UV cut glass and gets really warm).
  3. Have to keep revs under 40 KWH power while driving should help.
I drive with the MG Dashcam and wired Apple CarPlay on. Realistically, how much does this affect (shouldn't at all I assume). And mostly drive in ECO Mode, not once since I bought the car I've engaged Sports Mode. Since I'm first time EV owner, I'm unsure what I'm doing wrong, that is obliterating the range on my car, and hesitant to accept their bullocks response. Especially, since the company and dealership claimed 250+ range on both City and Highways. * Remember 330 is what company claims, but 250+ at least should be realistic.

Any input on this is much appreciated. Thanks
