Rimac has unveiled a more performance-oriented version of the Nevera electric hypercar called the Nevera R. The company claims it is the fastest-accelerating road car to date.



The new Rimac Nevera R comes with a host of upgrades, including a boost in its total power output from 1,888 BHP on the standard model to a staggering 2,078 BHP on the Nevera R. The increased power output is said to help the hypercar sprint from 0-100 km/h in 1.81 seconds, while 0-300 km/h takes just 8.66 seconds. For reference, the standard Nevera takes 9.22 seconds to go from 0-300 km/h.



The Nevera R retains the 108 kWh battery pack, which on the standard model, offers 400 km of range. Rimac is yet to confirm the driving range on the Nevera R.



Apart from the increased power figures, the Rimac Nevera R also comes with a sleeker design thanks to its lowered stance and a bunch of new aero elements. The Nevera R also gets new-generation all-wheel torque-vectoring tech, a revised steering rack for sharper handling, a fixed rear wing, new & larger diffuser and carbon-ceramic EVO2 brakes. The hypercar runs on new Michelin Cup 2 tyres.



The Rimac Nevera R will be limited to just 40 units worldwide, with production said to start later this year.
