Tesla offers Sport Seats on its Model S Plaid to better secure drivers on racetrack

According to media reports, Tesla has unveiled new Sports Seats for its electric family sedan, the Model S Plaid.

The Tesla Model S Plaid, although being a family sedan, comes with immense power. It also offers supercar levels of acceleration, capable of sprinting from 0-60 mph in just 1.99 seconds. Hence, the EV maker will be offering Sports Seats to help drivers on the racetrack.

The new seats address the issues that come with spirited driving on the racetrack. This includes pronounced levels of side support, lateral support, suede material for added grip and reduced weight. The seats have a modular architecture with 12-way power adjust, as well as heating & ventilation features.

Reports state that the Sports seats will be offered as standard equipment on all the Model S Plaid built from the start of April 2024.

Just shows how badass Tesla as a company is, first they make a 'family sedan' that can outperform the Chiron in 1/30th of the price and then after a 2 years of launch, finally gives it some sports seats when they are "oh so some guys are taking to Willow Springs apart from Walmart"

Mad just mad the Yankees are sometimes....

One of the most essential requirements of any car that can go fast around corners.

I guess it took Tesla this long because their priorities are elsewhere, and this isn't exactly a "sports car", but nonetheless a very welcome addition.
