According to media reports, Skoda is working on expanding its all-electric model lineup. The Czech carmaker is expected to offer six models by 2026, which will include a range-topping 7-seater SUV.



Ahead of its arrival, patent images of the upcoming model have been released online, giving us a glimpse of Skoda's design philosophy for its future models. Reports suggest that the upcoming 7-seater SUV will feature Skoda's "Modern Solid" design language, previewed by the Vision 7S Concept. The production version of the SUV will reportedly be almost 5 metres in length - making it an all-electric alternative to the Skoda Kodiaq. However, in terms of pricing, reports suggest, it could be offered at a premium, at a cost of around 60,000 GBP.

As seen from the image, the upcoming 7-seater electric SUV replaces the brand logo with 'SKODA' lettering, both at the front & rear. The SUV also features chunkier wheel arches and an overall cleaner and simpler exterior styling, with minimal lines and creases all around. At the front, the SUV will feature Skoda's 'Tech Dark' - a plastic trim piece that incorporates all the driver assistance sensors.

The 7-seater SUV is also expected to get rear-hinged doors with no B-pillar. Inside, the cabin layout will be completely revamped, with Skoda focussing on a simple & intuitive user experience, making use of physical controls & buttons.

Reports also suggest that the 7-seater electric SUV could be the last all-new car to make use of Skoda's MEB platform, which underpins the current Enyaq. Powertrain details of the upcoming SUV will be announced closer to the time of unveil.
