Toyota Hilux Electric confirmed to enter mass production in Thailand in 2025 Toyota has confirmed that the electric version of its Hilux pickup will enter production by the end of 2025. The Hilux electric pickup will be produced in Thailand, as confirmed by Noriaki Yamashita, head of Toyota Thailand.
The Toyota Hilux electric was first showcased in its concept form back in 2022. As per reports, the Hilux electric will undergo extensive testing in Pattaya - which will receive a dozen of the electric pickup to be used as public vehicles. The dozen Hilux electric pickups will help Toyota figure out the truck's capabilities and limitations, before the model enters mass production.
The Toyota Hilux electric will also be sold in international markets, including Europe. Once launched, it will take on the likes of the Ford F-150 Lightning and the upcoming Isuzu D-Max electric pickup.
Toyota is yet to confirm whether the electric version of the Hilux will make its way to India or not.
