Hyundai Ioniq 5 N at $67,475 becomes the brand's most expensive car to date

Hyundai has announced the prices of the Ioniq 5 N. The new performance EV is offered at a price tag of US$ 67,475 - making it Hyundai's most expensive car ever made.

The top-spec Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is powered by an 84 kWh battery pack, paired with dual electric motors (one on each axle), giving it an all-wheel-drive setup. The electric motors produce a combined power output of 600 BHP and 740 Nm. This can be further increased for 10 seconds via the 'N Grin Boost' to 641 BHP and 770 Nm. In normal mode, the Ioniq 5 N is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 260 km/h. All this also makes the Ioniq 5 N the most powerful car ever made by Hyundai.

The Ioniq 5 N is 80 mm longer, 40 mm wider and 20 mm lower than the standard EV. The performance model also gets an N-specific Blue paint scheme, along with an aggressive body kit like a rear diffuser, side skirts, and mesh air curtains. The Ioniq 5 N runs on 21-inch forged aluminium wheels with EV-specific Pirelli P-Zero tyres.

The N-specific elements are carried over to its interiors as well. Some of these include N-branded seats, a chunkier steering wheel and a black theme with blue accents all around the cabin. The EV also comes with a faux transmission system which simulates the shifts of a dual-clutch gearbox via motor jolts and fake sounds.

Don't why they have to fake ICE.
For an EV, I did love to have dead silent butter smooth surge on tarmac - with a hint of motors revving in the background.

The simulated sounds and gear shifts can be enabled or disabled at the press of a button. The car gives the perfect silence of EV, as well as replicates these ICE engine shenanigans. Whatever you want.

I haven't been as excited about a Vehicle as I am for this in a long time! Even if I can't buy it, just the fact that it exists brings a smile to my face.

Solid performance, drop-dead gorgeous 'menacing' looks AND the agility that many can't/don't provide since it takes too much effort to give you that nimbleness than just straight line performance makes this one drool-worthy product!

Contrary to popular opinion, LOVE all the sounds and jazz that comes along with it!

Future looks simply splendid indeed and a huge fan of Hyundai N products.

A smaller and hence more agile version of this however would be just perfect - Hyundai Ioniq 3N anyone?

I love the Ionic 5 purely for the way it looks. Just saw one over the weekend and couldn't stop drooling over its wonderful and carefully executed take on a retro hot-hatch body style. While Hyundai is known for its over the top uncanny designs, this one is such a welcome departure.

I feel it bears an exciting resemblance to the original Maruti 800 SS80 model, a car that helped Maruti become what it is today.

The most expensive hyundai is also the best looking one ever. Glad that none of the inspiration came from the new elantra/tucson for this. It looks to be the perfect blend of retro and modern.
