Re: EV vs Hybrid - Which is a better buy today?

Voted for V Hybrid. I run about 20-24 K per year with Mum-Pune drive every weekend. We also do a lot of travelling too. I get about 23 KPL on a city/highway run.

The hybrid gives much better mileage as compared to an ICE. Eg - Mumbai-Pune run with ghats and Mumbai traffic returns about 23-24 kpl. On the way down I get 32 kpl. Comparatively my Yaris used to return 10 kpl on Mum-Pune and 15 kpl on Pune-Mum route

I can fit in 2 check in bags and a couple of small bags without the parcel tray. This is enough for a family of 3/4.

My Nexon EV Prime MR runs 180 kms per charge. Given the quality of charging infrastructure and premium charged by EV, most of the people would go for ICE cars.

Unlike T-BHPians, general public doesn't bother about 0-100, but has many other considerations - reason why Hycross and Hyryders continue to have wait lists.
