I would say I am of dual personality. That's why the other car in the garage is a Seltos 1.4 MT (which is driven very less now), but that is only when I am driving alone. Coming to the range part, I got about 270 with 80% charge used. Just FYI, I use the Normal mode during this time because the AC performance in Eco mode isn't great.

Re: Share your real-world Electric Car range here

My range figures at just under 10,000 KM with the Ioniq 5 :

100% AC, most convenience features on. Usable battery capacity is ~ 70 KWh as gleaned from the internet.

City range : 450 to 550 km, 6.5 to 8 Km/KWh

Highway range : limiter at 90 Kmph : ~ 425 Km, 6 Km/KWh
limiter at 120 Kmph : ~ 360 Km, 5 Km/ KWh

My longest trip interval : 360 Km (started at 100%, ended at 22%, limiter at 90 Kmph with a few short bursts of acceleration upto 130 Kmph for overtaking manoeuvres)

Re: Share your real-world Electric Car range here

Car and Model: Hyundai Kona
Year of Manufacture: 2019
Kilometers Driven: 32000
ARAI / Manufacturer Claimed Range: 452 kms
Real-World Range: 360 - 420
City Usage (%): 70%
Highway Usage (%): 30%
Home/Office Slow Charging (%): 70%
Outside Fast Charging (%): 30%
Battery Capacity: 39.2 kwh

I got the car a year back, pre owned, previous owner had driven 13k kms in 4 years. I have already done 19k kms in less than a year.

I get around 420 Kms of range in the city. Since I live in Bangalore the heavy traffic at times has a big impact on the efficiency, but I always get above 8 km/kwh.

On the highway, I drive like I used to drive my ICE car, no compromise, always in sports mode. I get around 7-8 kms/kwh(It has dropped to less than 7 at times). The maximum range I have got on highway is 448 kms, this was hypermiling without Ac, doing 70-80 kmph.

Heavy use of the paddle shifters, I love the feature, I dont think I would get another ev without Paddle shifters, extremely useful. The way the regen varies between the drive modes is also very well setup. I rarely use my breaks, unless I see a speed breaker, rest of the time the regen does the business.
In fact these days I sometimes drive around without regen just to familiarize myself with the conventional break.
I have driven other evs as well, but find the Kona's regen to be very well calibrated. The more I drive the car the more I am impressed with what Hyundai managed back in 2019, how did they manage to make such a sorted Electric car. Would give anything to somehow get the 64kwh kona, I will buy it today, if they get it to India even with the outdated interiors.

I wonder how the Windsor and Curvv.EV 45 would perform on this test. It would be interesting if the Windsor, being a born EV like the Kona (with a similar battery size), were to do better than the Nexon LR / XUV4OO.

If that were to happen, it wouldn't be too far off from the Nexon.EV 45 or the Curvv.EV 45 in terms of Highway range.
