Had done parts of this same stretch last year in the BMW - and I didn’t get as many cribs.

So it does seem that the suspension is not really suited for driving even at moderate speeds on bad roads.

I recently did a road trip to Alibag and Panchgani/Mahabaleshwar from Mumbai in the BMW iX1 LWB. Overall, the ride comfort was pretty good — the suspension felt well-balanced, not too soft or too stiff, so we had a fairly comfortable drive throughout.

But when it comes to speed bumps, it’s a different story. The iX1 LWB really struggles with them. If you're doing even slightly more than 6–7 km/h, you’re almost guaranteed to scrape and that heart-wrenching "thaad" sound is unavoidable.

What’s worse is that it doesn’t even matter if the bump is big or small. As long as I’m crawling over it, even the taller ones are manageable. But in city driving, even the regular-sized bumps cause scraping if I’m not super slow. Interestingly though, I did a bit of light off-roading too and as long as I kept my speed down, it didn’t scrape at all.

Anyone else seeing a lot of rock chips on their car? The paint seems ridiculously thin.

PPF are really really good for these. I see your's is a black one, haven't you got it done yet?
Ceramic Pro helps too.

PPF is best way to avoid it. I did for my car, it saved my car for scratches and PPF took the hit(small accident).
