Open Motors : The open EV platform

It seems there is an EV platform that is open for tinkering. There even seems to be an Indian startup that aims to use this platform. I am a big fan of open software. Having an open EV platform that can be tuned would be amazing

Imagine what would happen if players like Jayem motors takes something like this up. The possibilities are endless.

Seems like a good option for fleet operators or if someone comes with "Build Your Custom EV" Business. Its basically providing the platform options & the options available at body shop/assembly.
How hard is it to get road worthiness for custom builds (vehicles built from scratch)?

Their pricing is very optimistic. They want around Rs. 20L ex factory Italy for just a very basic skateboard assembly.
Nexon EV suddenly is very cheap.

You cannot compare the prices of mass produced cars with cars essentially produced on demand. This is not something that an customer should buy. It is something that you would buy to work with or to base your ev car company on.

Also you need not even buy the platform from them; the detailed cad drawings seems to be available so you can build it yourself by sourcing components. You can also hire some one else to build it for you
by supplying the cad drawings.
