Saw this exact same video before I came here. In my opinion the consumption figure is not very impressive given the speeds at play. I reckon the consumption would be much more if he was doing a constant 100kph. The other disappointment is turtle mode at 10% SOC which is way too early and at this point the speed is restricted to a mere 50kmph which is a bit too slow in my opinion along with loss of acceleration.

Although not a direct comparison, for what it is worth, my Model Y Performance with over 500 bhp does around 150wh/km in mixed driving conditions (100 kph on the freeway, 80 kph on major artery roads and 60 in the city). Most of it is infact either freeway or 80 kmph. And this is when Melbourne is still cold. Efficiency would go furter up as the weather warms up. Tata needs to do better.

It seems to me that the number you are referring to is the Range and not the speed. The speed is on the right side behind the steering in the image.

Color pallete chosen by Tata is absolutely smashing.

Overall kudos to Tata for a genuine midlife refresh to the product. Looks tempting both in ICE and EV avtaar.

Re: 2023 Tata Nexon.EV Review

State-of-the-art EV, concept car looks with fantastic build quality and reliability, with a cracker pricing - what else can want for? (Apart from better service)

Edit: Query - Is there no Smart variant in the EV?

I agree, i stand corrected. I assumed the left hand side to be speed but that is the range.

There is no Smart or Creative variant. It starts from Creative+ and that also is available in MR range option only

Re: 2023 Tata Nexon.EV Review

I was eagerly waiting for the price, not because I am interested in getting Nexon.EV, this will give us a fair understanding of how their upcoming EV flagships will be priced. With ex-showroom of Nexon.EV at 20 L, we can expect Harrier.EV to be priced around 24L to 25L and Curvv / Azura.EV at 22L to 23L, whereas Siera.EV could cross 26L or 27L. Man, these are serious numbers, with TATA's reliability being a hit-or-miss, unless they iron out their issues I will be very skeptical about spending 25L on a TATA car. Let's see how things will unfold in FY24.

While Tata needs to improve the sales and the after sales experience of their products, more and more people are spending 20-30 lakh plus on their vehicles.

Except for last month, Tata moves appx 4000-4500 units of Safari + Harrier every month.

Re: 2023 Tata Nexon.EV Review

Medium Range Creative+ with a 7 inch infotainment, reverse parking camera and 6 airbags at 14.74 lakhs ex showroom is an absolute value for money for those who don't want any fancy features and are focused on city driving with an occasional outing. Even the fearless is priced very well.
Great pricing by Tata.
