Yes. The Nexon EV has cruise control. Check out the picture of the steering wheel in the first page of this thread. There are buttons to enable cruise control and set the speed to cruise.

Both Nexon.EV and XUV400 come equipped with cruise control on their higher variants.
Only the base variant for XUV 400 and lowest 2 variants for Nexon.EV miss out on that.

About 90% of the trip mentioned above your question was done using Cruise control.
On slopes regen is activated irrespective of its manually set level, I had kept it to level one.
Cruise control in EVs greatly increases the leg comfort and absence of engine vibration on steering increases hand comfort.

The updated XUV400 has cruise control.
My old XUV400 (Feb 2023 manufactured) doesn't have it, but it's getting an update including buttons on the steering.

Re: 2023 Tata Nexon.EV Review

Hi Team,

I had a question related to buying a car towards year end (December). I have read that dealers usually give discounts on year end cars in order to clear their inventory.

If I book a car now and it is delivered towards end of December / January, should I be expecting any discounts just because the calendar year has changed? Nexon EV is a new car so very less chances of it being offered at a discount but just wanted to check what is the usual norm? Sorry if this question sounds stupid but I do not have a lot of experience in buying cars hence wanted to check with experts here.

Dealers usually give discount in January on new cars for the one's which didn't move in December. I don't think they will offer upfront discounts for year end as the car is having demand. This will be true for all manufacturers which have waiting for the cars.

I dont think that all variants of Nexon EV have a very huge demand. Only the top most variant has a waiting period worth mentioning. I am positive that there will be decent discounts on MY23 Nexon EVs. How do I know? I had almost bought a 2nd Nexon EV (Max this time) in Feb 2023 and dealers were bending over backwards with min 1.2 to 1.5 lac discounts for MY22 models. I dont think the discounts would be as much but should be there.

I will pick up a used facelifted Nexon Ev mostly as there are too many regret sales happening. Just yesterday someone posted an old model Nexon EV XZ+ for 12.8 lacs in my network. Poor guy could only drive it for 13k kms before giving up. If it werent for that god forsaken gear dial I would have picked it up.

Got energy consumption figure of 120 Wh/km during my first trip, with 4 passengers + fully loaded boot + ac on all the time. It was actually very easy to achieve this consumption figure on both eco and city modes. Cruise control worked well, and the paddle shifters made it easy to adjust regen on the fly.

The only niggle that I faced was this when I tried slow charging after reaching our destination :

The issue was resolved by disconnecting and reconnecting the connector.

Since Nexon ev facelift accessories are still not available from the OEM, any recommendations for after market brands for floormats?

Updates on arcade.ev:

It was present at the time of delivery but disappeared for some days and appeared again yesterday. Now, when trying to install apps, the size shows as 0.00MB, and tapping "install" doesn't work. The interface is accessible, but the apps themselves are not usable. I've attached some pictures and version details for reference.

Users are worried that the One Hour Mode might drain the auxiliary battery. Currently, there's no way to turn off this mode. However, if you open the driver-side door after it's activated, the system will automatically shut off.

When routing the dashcam cable, be cautious since the pillar covers also contain the airbag housing. Utilize the provided tuck-in tool from the dashcam kit.

I had a question on dashcam. I get suggestion to have a dashcam, to at least act as a deterrence. My question: If the car has 3-D camera, can it be used as a dashcam too? Is there a way to take snapshots from this view?

Currently, you can only view live footage from the 360 cameras; saving snapshots or videos is not available.

Re: 2023 Tata Nexon.EV Review

Does anything happen to the battery of an EV like the Nexon if we leave it parked and unused for a long period like a week or 2 weeks?

I know that the battery percentage goes down but is there any risk of big issues like battery failure?
