Re: Foxconn could set up EV manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu Apple iPhone manufacturer reveals Italian-styled electric car.
Foxconn – the maker of the Apple iPhone – has pulled the covers off a Pininfarina-styled electric SUV.
Apple iPhone maker Foxconn has revealed what it says is a production-ready five-door hatchback at the 2024 Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland.
The Foxtron Model B is an urban-sized SUV rival to the electric Jeep Avenger, Kia Niro and Volkswagen ID.3 with styling from the famous Italian design house, Pininfarina.
Measuring 1865mm in width, 1530mm in height with a 2800mm wheelbase and 4300mm overall length, the Model B is similar in size to its main rivals. For context, a Kia Niro is 1825mm wide, 1570mm tall, 4420mm long and has a 2720mm wheelbase.
Specific details of its electric powertrain and battery are yet to be revealed, however, the company claims the Model B will have a range of 500 kilometres when and where it goes on sale – which is also yet to be confirmed.
The Model B is one of five concepts shown since inception all using the same in-house developed MIH (Mobility in Harmony) modular architecture.
Slightly larger is the Model C, while Foxtron has also shown a Model E sedan, a Model T bus and a Model V dual-cab pick-up.
The Model B and Model E are the only Foxtrons styled by Pininfarina so far. Link: |
