'TATA.ev' is the new brand identity of Tata's EV business

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has launched its new brand identity, TATA.ev.

'TATA.ev' is the new brand identity of Tata's EV business-new-brand-design.jpg

According to the company, TATA.ev is based on the philosophy of 'Move with Meaning', where sustainability, community and technology come together.

The TATA.ev logo features the Tata emblem with ".ev" enclosed in the "Orbit", which is said to symbolize a circular ecosystem. The "Orbit" itself has a thin-to-thick stroke, which according to the company, symbolizes mobility in progress. The Evo Teal colour is said to highlight the brand's commitment towards a sustainable future. It also symbolizes innovation and tech-forward capabilities.

TATA.ev's print collaterals are designed on a white base to reduce ink usage, while digital collaterals are on a black base to reduce battery consumption and energy usage. Smaller file sizes, quicker loading times and optimized performance are said to ensure wider accessibility. The font family used is Inter, an open-license and variable font family.

I see these all the usual marketing bull.., ahem, buzz words: sustainability, community, technology, meaning, crafted.

But they are missing the most important word that Tata should strive to be associated with their brand: RELIABILITY!

Re: 'TATA.ev' is the new brand identity of Tata's EV business

A noob question, does this mean that in the future there will be a dedicated showroom/service center?

If not, then this is the need of the hour, in the press release they themselves stated that they had sold more than 1 Lakh Ev which is going to grow even more once we have Harrier.ev and Curvv.ev. They need to have a dedicated service center to address EV cars

They spent 6+ months to come up with this new logo - from .ev to .ev with a circle around it.

Re: 'TATA.ev' is the new brand identity of Tata's EV business

Is this a joke or something?
I don't know what's going on anymore. First Mahindra with there JBL and meta infinity ripoff. And now Tata with this circle.ev
What's the fun of all these new logos? You are diluting your brand image yourself. If you guys have so much free time, try to solve your existing problems and improve your service. Focus on things that are damaging your brand image. Try sustaining it first. Both of Indian Manufacturers need some serious QC and ASS improvement but I see zero efforts being put in that direction.
Yay a big win for future EV buyers as they will get new logos from both brands, sarcasm intended.

Exclusive EV Outlets

Tata Motors has already made it known that it will look at separate EV outlets in the near term which is a practical thing to do given its huge push in this space. In this backdrop, it makes more sense to have separate showrooms for its ICE and EV range of cars.

Shailesh Chandra:
“We will have focused teams for EVs since skills, knowledge and expertise are a different challenge altogether,” he explains. This reaffirms the need for separate retail arrangements in EVs, especially in markets with deeper penetration like Kerala and Maharashtra. “The brand should look more premium for sure with this retail endeavour,” he adds.

Re: 'TATA.ev' is the new brand identity of Tata's EV business

More than separate showrooms, they need separate service centers for EVs. The existing ones are already packed to the brim with cars, they are all running at capacity. Dedicated EV centric support is the need of the hour, with properly trained technicians who know how to troubleshoot and don’t have to rely on hit and trial. Then again, quality needs to be tightened up and bug need to be ironed out at factory level itself.

For once, we should read the news as news, give views on the news and discuss/debate on the news. Will that ever happen here ?

Every piece of news or info posted, the only problem we have is Tata service and their quality.

Looks we are suffering from TOSSED.
Tata Obsessive Sales n Service Efficiency Disorder.

Re: 'TATA.ev' is the new brand identity of Tata's EV business

Tata has so far invested time, money and energy more than enough on their sales part. This is again another sales strategy/marketing activity.

I don't know what the top brass at Tata are smoking. Now that Tata has a proven product portfolio, all that they need is purely focus on 2 aspects - reliability and ASS experience.

Now with a fantastic product portfolio, their showroom is entirely filled. But so are their service centres, where there is never enough space to park the cars. One of the main reasons are cars visiting/re-visiting the service centre for product/service complaints. I wish and want that they realise and fix this on a war foot basis.

The fact is that, in todays world (in any business), it is challenging to retain an existing customer than to add a new customer. And I am sure Tata is well aware of this.
