Aston Martin announced that it will be building its future EVs using Lucid technology.

• Strategic supply agreement with Lucid Group to include access to industry-leading technologies and long-term relationship whereby Lucid will supply Aston Martin with select powertrain components for initial and future BEV models
  
• Mercedes-Benz AG to continue to provide Aston Martin with access to a range of world-class technologies, including powertrain and electric/electronic architectures for current and future generation Aston Martin vehicles, including internal combustion engine, hybrid and electric vehicles.
  
• All-new modular BEV platform underpins future portfolio of ultra-luxury high-performance electrified Aston Martin hypercar, Sports, GT and SUV models

Remember not long ago, they had also taken the help of our own DC for designing an Aston Martin. The brand was always losing its appeal inspite of the 007 legacy with Mercedes somehow keeping it afloat.

Aston Martins very unreliable even at this age. The parts are expensive to purchase and even harder to find. They tend to break down and take weeks to repair, even for small breaks. Among the most expensive vehicles on the market to maintain.

Entering into EV is their only hope to arrest very heavy losses and closure.

I can’t speak for Aston Martins in India. But I know several people who actually own modern Aston Martins. I have been to several events with some of them and I have yet to find an owner that tells me they are unreliable.

Here in Europe they are not more expensive to maintain than say a Porsche.
