Here is the Accessory brochure and full price list.
I was interested to get the Gaming Pack but 65k oof, then saw you can get individual stuff so thinking to get the seat covers, wheel caps for now and maybe some interior touch ups (although interior and seats seems to cost the most).

Other than that, sun shades and rain visor, not sure about anything else, maybe the dashboard organizer.

I really want to get the integrated roof top carrier once it launches

It is (or was) a ongoing discount offer at all MG dealerships atleast in Delhi NCR, in addition to the already festive pricing (what shows on MG website), they were offering 50k-1L extra discount.
ZS EV excite had 50k extra, exclusive had 1L extra
I got almost 1.5L on MG Comet Plush

Costed me 9.3L onroad, including everything. Which is even below ex-showroom price of the comet plush, will also get a 1L subsidy so final price for me will be 8.3L which is just icing on cake (for comparison, Comet Pace was 7.2L on road and after subsidy would have been 6.2L)

Compared to other states, I feel I have saved almost close to, if not more, 3L atleast on the comet, 1L discount, 1L subsidy and 1L in RTO~

Just contact your nearby MG Dealership and ask about it, they did say the offer was till Diwali only but you never know, maybe still available.

Digital Key is not dependable. At times the instructions from mobile failed. eg. I was not able to lock the car after the drvie which is annoying. Again, this simply means you cannot trust/depend on the digital key. Why MG?

Those prices are unbelievable. I talked to sales here in Kerala, they are offering the base model for 8.5 lakhs and this is after an offer which gives free insurance. There is no subsidy here. But even then, that's a difference of 1.25 lakhs. I would have bought it instantly if I was offered for 6.2 lakhs. You guys must enjoy those prices as much as possible as long as they exist.

The price difference also includes the 5% road tax for EV's in Kerala.
So, we folks in Kerala have to try pushing the dealers for a bargain which has to remove the discounts of road tax & subsidies that few of over northern friends get.

Re: MG Comet EV Review

Seeking advise from MG Comet owners in Bangalore -

1. Do you find it a lot easier to drive and park in BLR compared to any other sedan or mini-SUV?

2. Do you at any point feel the car maybe unsafe for city use? Our drives are going to be 1 adult + kid (8-year old)

3. Do you have this as a primary car or is it your 2nd/ 3rd car in the house?

4. Are you happy using it for city drives?

5. Any risks you foresee?

6. Any additional subsidy or benefits in BLR since this is an EV?

Reason I am asking these is because we are contemplating on getting this as our additional car to ferry around our kid for his after school activities plus one of us commutes just 8 km a day and current car is a Seltos; however, we may retain the Seltos for weekend chores within the city when 3+ people need to do plus when we need to take the parents out.
We are finding the Seltos a bit too big when it comes to finding parking spaces at after school activities locations!

If the MG Comet helps substantially with easier driving and parking (compared to Seltos), we may go for it considering the top-end is currently available at close to 10 lakhs on road in BLR (some discount + free insurance till 30-Nov as per dealer)!

Any advice on this is welcome, thank you!

Re: MG Comet EV Review

I personally own a Tiago EV, but my Father in law has the MG Comet, trust me you cant go wrong with it, its a really good car for the city, as long as you never ever intend to take it for any longer trips you are covered, even Mysore is a NO NO, not because it cannot hit highways rather because of the lack for DCFC or even ACFC, not even 7.2kw :(

If the car is "just for the city" there is nothing better not even the Tiago EV. Oh also it actually has better useable range than the Tiago MR or LR

Re: MG Comet EV Review

Heylos,
We are now a Proud owners of MG Comet EV Plush variant in Apple Green color.
In Hyderabad, it costed ~10.5lakh on-road(with 0/- Lifetax, 5k corp discount, 5k discount of accessories). Have opted for a few accessories like Black-Red Seatcovers and few external ones.
This is our secondary car, with Kia Carens 7seater as our primary... but realizing that we are using MG Comet a lot more than Carens

I looked at the Comet and this was one of the two deal breakers. The other was, the rear seat had an uncomfortably high floor (front seat was surprisingly comfortable). Knees sticking in the air, like in the back of a share-auto that has two back rows. My wife and I are about 173cm, son is over 180cm, none of us could have been comfortable back there for a drive of any significant distance.

But yes if you are strictly driving in the city and are 2 adults + 1-2 kids and are not likely to use the car to ferry large objects around, this is great. But I'd still go for the Tiago (similar price point).

Re: MG Comet EV Review

Comet is the best city car. Period. This is our first and primary car and it is so easy to drive and park in tight spaces. Quality of materials and service are better than most cars in this range.

I just got the DDPAI N1 dual, and I have no idea how to maneuver the wiring for the rear camera in comet. I don't want to dismantle door components and all to do that. How did you do it? Can you show some photos of the rear wiring?

Re: MG Comet EV Review

Rear wiring is quite simple with Comet. I don't have a pic as I did it long back. You should be able to find some youtube videos to get the idea. Just insert the wiring starting with under the roof, A-pillar gap on the top, route it through window rubber portion, B pillar gap until you reach rear rubber portion. As simple as that. You need to use the plastic insertion tool that should have come with the dashcam for this.

First darshan of Puchku, at the stockyard. Yes, 11th Nov 23 (Choti Deepawali) took delivery of my MG Comet. I had taken a couple of test drives and was floored as it ticked all the boxes of my 'need requirement'. 80 kms daily run from my residence (Dwarka, New Delhi) to Gurgaon. To add, this is my first Ev and I am loving it!

For 95% of the time, I shall have only me driving to office, maybe once in a while a colleague may hop in. The turning radius is really tight and attracts stares when I tuck the car in the gaps (specially in the evening while driving back home at the Haryana Delhi border). In the 1280 kms done (6.5 days Puchku was parked as I was out of station), the battery charge dropped by just 2% which translates to 4 kms (100% charge translates to 200 kms) - sometimes I wonder where are those 30 extra kms (ARAI certified is 230 kms range, but I guess, MG has capped the range at 200 kms in the display).

A few quirks I have observed

1 - The headlamp switch operates in the opposite twist as compared to conventional vehicles

2 - The rear red fog lamp - operated from the tip of the left hand side lever (spring loaded) only glows when the headlamps are switched ON and not when the parking lights are switched ON. The funny part is, if one switches ON the headlamps, then the fog lamps, then switch off the headlamps, the rear red fog lamp stays ON.

3 - Lack of dead pedal is a real bummer!! The position of my left leg is always at a weird angle and does not support the body weight when brakes are applied (have to look into getting one designed and fabricated - yes I need a dead pedal.

4 - Another major quirk - the rear tail lamps do not glow ON when the parking lamps / headlamps are switched ON, only the rear horizonal connected red lamp glows - this is contrary to any other vehicle having connected rear lamps!! At night, it looks really strange!!

5 - Till date, the infotainment system has blackened out once when the apple car play was connected - so much for features!

6 - Urgently need to modify the brake lever as its level is higher than the accelerator lever, my shoe keeps hitting the side of the brake pedal, resulting in myself loosing out on precious microseconds to apply brakes. Hoping the service station can arrive to some solution, else I shall have to take it to a mechanic and modify the lever.

7 - Yet to figure out how 'follow me home function' of the headlamps works

8 - The key FOB is so heavy, if thrown, can easily crack a skull!

9 - Yet to figure out, how to get to the Home page when Apple Car play is connected

Congratulations to all folks who bought the car recently. Welcome to the club!

Not sure if it is just me. However, I found AC throw is not upto the mark (even at Lo temperature, Fan speed 9) in the afternoons even in Bangalore which has decent weather. People at the back complain mostly (can't imagine how summer is going to be). Mornings and Evenings are fine though currently. Do you feel the same?
