This could be due to tpms warning. Check the tyre pressure.
Is there any other info displayed on the MID

Re: MG Comet EV Review

Yes, I noticed this message is received if vehicle is not in ready state for sometime. i.e.when 12v battery is used and not the main battery. I know it's bit annoying at times but may be useful when we are really draining 12v battery.

Re: MG Comet EV Review

Thanks for the replies. If it were tpms, I assume that it would display on the dash. Regarding battery drain, that could be a possibility because I have realised that if I am near the car even if it was locked (after locking everything is supposed to shut down) for more than an hour the phone transfers calls to the system.

Must be a bug for sure as I noticed the dashcam turns off when we lock the car so ideally bluetooth should too. However, I was responding to your abnormal alarm question in the previous response. If you are receiving this when you unlock the car, it could happen because it's not in ready state and is draining the battery. Otherwise, it could be one of the genuine cases that you see under Car Status page (one of 7 parameter). I have not validated these though.

How is your experience now after few days? Bought this and tried it today. Unfortnately, the first attempt didn't go very well. While it is certainly easier than connecting the MG Air Compressor supplied with Car which is too wide to twist and connect unlike Mi Air Compressor which has Narrow head, it is still kind of tricky and makes me feel if the Air Valve which is flimpsy gets pushed/cut on prolong use. Also, I lost Air in one of the wheels after a short drive. Not able to understand why.

I have 12.8v. Did you update the app?. I see 7 items in the status screen. I don't see door and window status in your screenshot

Re: MG Comet EV Review

My app is up to date. My Comet is the mid model, I don't know if yours is the top one. Battery voltage could be dependent on the time elapsed after the last use. Thanks.

Re: MG Comet EV Review

Yes, mine is Plush which could be the reason. I understand 12.4v is not that low but I guess the warning may be due to the fact that it is getting drained as HV battery is not yet active. i.e. Car not in ready state. I assume you get this alarm notification when you unlock the vehicle, can you confirm? If not, this warning is for something else. You may want to check the instrument cluster to understand further.

Re: MG Comet EV Review

I have already complained umpteen times. The workshop doesn't have the expertise to deal with ev problems. I have asked for a specialist from mg to come before I give the car to them, otherwise it is just a waste of time.

Re: MG Comet EV Review

I got a call from the technician of the dealer today who suggested that it could be the result of not wearing the seat belt when the ignition is switched on, I thought that was quite possible because I sometimes wear the belt when I am in the car lift, alas that was not the reason. Also this car is not for anyone over 5ft 6, I almost hit a pedestrian because of the blind patch caused by the internal mirror which is below my eye level.

Re: MG Comet EV Review

I agree with IRVM position for relatively tall people (I am 5'11"). It's another design flaw just like the wheel Cap. MG need to definetely try to do something about these two to have existing owners onboard to recommend the car to others.

Re: MG Comet EV Review

Has anyone used a charger other than the one that comes with the car? I want to use the granny charger that comes with the ZS but can't find any information about it being okay.

Re: MG Comet EV Review

Yes, it's perfectly alright to use any AC charger upto 7.5 KW with compatible connector. I bought the Comet after receiving official confirmation from MG India, which they did after multiple follow-ups through various channels.

Re: MG Comet EV Review

The reason I am asking is because the Comet battery is around 120 volts whereas the mg zs is around 390. It is easier for me to use just 1 charger (if possible) for both. Which charger are you using?
