Maruti kickstarted its Auto Expo with the eVX concept electric SUV. This is the car that will pave the path for Maruti's electrification in India. According to Suzuki, they've committed an investment of Rs. 100 billion for the production of BEVs and batteries in India:
The 'Emotional Versatile Cruiser,' - Concept eVX, as Suzuki likes to call it is a mid-size electric SUV concept designed and developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan. It is built on a dedicated EV platform which will have a 60 kWh battery pack with safe battery technology:
Bold front end with a big Suzuki logo in the middle. Has a very muscle car-like look with a flat face and also gets a skid plate at the bottom for the 'SUV' look:
Concept LED lights look cool:
The car measures 4,300mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,600mm in height. Roughly Hyundai Creta size. Flared-up wheel arches and bold body lines sure give the impression that the car will have a muscular look:
Fender-mounted charging port:
Flush door handles! Can we expect this on the production variant too?
A mirrorless Maruti? Camera-based ORVM looks sleek:
Fully covered aerodynamic wheels. These are 20-inch wheels shod with 245/45 R20 tyres which are not going to be on the production car:
Taillamp connecting LED strips are becoming way too common these days. The rear also gets a skid plate at the bottom:
The windows were blackened and we weren't allowed to get a peek inside the car. But from the looks of it, you will get a massive touchscreen:

Volvo has XC 40.
Maruti: Let me call it a concept car after a few ugly touch-ups.
