Introduction
As a part of Tata's strategy to keep its products fresh in the market, they've launched another special edition range of the Safari, Harrier, Nexon and the Nexon EV called the "Jet edition". It is said to be inspired by 'Business Jets' and features cosmetic changes to the outside and the inside of these cars. Tata Motors is really pushing it with the new Jet Edition being the 5th special edition range following the Adventure Persona, Dark, Kaziranga and Gold Editions.
There are no mechanical changes to any of the models. The cars feature dual tone ‘STARLIGHT’ exterior colour i.e. Earthy Bronze with Platinum Silver Roof. You also get '#JET' badges on the fenders and black alloy wheels. Inside, you have a dual-tone Oyster White and Granite Black theme with Bronze accents.
The #JET edition (ridiculous name IMO) is available on XZ+ (P) / XZA+ (P) in both diesel and petrol versions in the Nexon ICE; XZ+ / XZA+ in Harrier and XZ+ / XZA+ (6 Seater & 7 Seater) trims of the Safari and XZ+ LUX trim of Nexon EV Max and Nexon EV Prime.
Tata Safari
The Jet edition of the Safari diesel manual XZ+ is priced at Rs 21.35 lakhs for the 7-seater variant & Rs 21.45 lakhs for the 6-seater variant. The automatics are priced at Rs 22.65 lakhs (7-seater) & Rs 22.75 lakhs (6-seater). The difference between the Jet edition and the standard car is about Rs 30,000. It's priced similarly to the Dark, Adventure and Kaziranga editions. The Gold edition is about Rs 81,000 more expensive than the Jet edition. Tata has also added a few features to the ESP like driver doze-off alert, after impact braking and panic brake alert.
