| Tesla Model Y's battery pack is half the weight of Rivian's
The team from Sandy Munro got its hand on a Tesla Model Y made in Texas with 4680 cells. They found out that the battery pack is lighter, almost half the weight of Rivian. Quote: |

In further videos, they have showed that the packing material is very difficult to remove. I feel that in case an issue with cells, the whole pack will need to be replaced and the rest of the cells will have to be used in a different pack/application (something like Apple's glass back).

Overall looks like a significant gain in terms of weight and will help to improve range.
