So true. Looking at the recent launch of Brezza 22 , the on road price seems to be somewhere in the 16L+ range. So shelling another 2L for Nexon EV Max Xz+ make lot of sense now as the maintenence is low and the money saved in fuel costs.

The Portal has incorrectly reported lowering of GST on batteries.
The GST rate for batteries was not even on the Agenda of the meeting.

The PIB official document clearly clarified that the GST on vehicles sold without batteries will attract the same GST as the EV sold with batteries.

This clarification was important because in some interpretations of the GST, the EV without battery was not an EV - rather a spare - thereby attracting the applicable GST as a spare - as much as 28%

Hence, this official clarification was a welcome one.
