Skoda has released a teaser image of its upcoming all-electric small car. The new model is expected to debut around 2025.

The design sketch released by Skoda shows the car in its side profile. Reports suggest that it could be similar in size to the Fabia hatchback. The new EV appears to have an upright front fascia with short overhangs and a bold shoulder line with flared wheel arches.

Skoda's new all-electric small car is expected to be based on the VW Group's MEB Entry platform. It could be offered with a battery capacity of around 58-77 kWh, offering about 451 km of range.

Skoda's new EV is expected to rival the upcoming Volkswagen ID.1 in the international market.

Good move by Skoda. At least they won't have to worry about EPC issues :D

A Skoda car without the accursed DQ gearbox should be a good buy I think. 2024-25 seems to be the year when EVs become mainstream.

For EU market it would seem that ID1/MEB Entry is poised to be in the same size segment as Polo & Fabia (Both based on MQB A0).

It would be great if they manufacture EVs for and in India based on MEB Entry similar to what they are doing now with MQB A0-IN. A electrified 4.3m class SUV and a Midsized sedan in 2025-26 would be really nice.

An electric car that is sub 4 meters with 200kms real-world mileage and at 10lakh price would see real commercial success. This is IMO needed in the market now. Finally, EVs are meant to save money and hopefully the environment.

Otherwise, people sitting on the fence(me) will wait. Wait till the prices are affordable. 2025 is so far away. Even MS may launch an EV by then.

The new Skoda Elroq is confirmed.

The internal newspaper of the union of workers operating at skoda's factory in Mladá Boleslav has confirmed the name assigned to the new electric model that the Czech firm will launch before 2025. The famous crossover, whose price will be less than 20,000 Euros, is already in development, according to the information provided.

will have a new generation of low-capacity batteries although they will exceed 300 kilometers of autonomy, and a regulated electric motor with different power levels. Some models in which the Elroq will be located at the height of the Fabia and the Kamiq, which we will see before 2025 on the roads.

Now Skoda’s new boss, Klaus Zellmer, has revealed that his team is trying to work out how to make an EV even more cheaply still, in a bid to offer a vehicle at a price range approaching that of the current Fabia supermini. It sells for as little as £12,000 in some Eastern European territories - at least £5,000 less than the planned price for the MEB Entry model.
Skoda will be investigating how to make best use of shared components, to help drive down cost, and this could lead to the vehicle featuring sensors and safety systems from further up the range - including the ‘tech deck’ grille introduced by the Vision 7S concept.

Skoda ELROQ, the successor to KAROQ, teased. Coming in 2024.

In the category above we can look forward to a compact SUV with the working name Elroq. The name itself suggests that it is going to be an electric alternative to the traditional Karoq SUV. The compact SUV segment is one of the most important in Europe and elsewhere, and with an electric model of this class Škoda wants to offer customers a little something extra.
