MG has released a new teaser video for an all-new electric car. The company has also confirmed that the new EV will make its global debut sometime in Q4 this year.



While details of the upcoming vehicle are scarce, MG has announced that the new electric vehicle will measure 4,300 mm in length, making it a competitor to the Volkswagen ID.3. The company has also stated that the new EV has been designed keeping the UK consumers in mind.



In terms of styling, the teaser video does showcase a crossover or hatchback design with a sharp shoulder line, aerodynamically-optimised 17-inch alloy wheels and LED tail lights with an extended light bar. The teaser also showcases a glimpse of the car's contrasting black roof, which could feature a panoramic glass roof.



MG is yet to announce the details of the electric powertrain that will be offered in the upcoming EV.

Interesting to think how this would compare to the ZS-EV which is also around the same length. If my understanding is correct, this would be an all-electric vehicle built from the ground up, as opposed to converting the petrol ZS into electric.

Primarily for the European market .

It will be 4.3 metre in length and take on rivals like Volkswagen ID.3, Cupra Born, Nissan Leaf, and Kia e-Niro in the segment. According to MG Motor, the car is being developed keeping the “UK consumer in mind".
