The updated Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback electric SUVs are expected to be unveiled in 2022, along with a number of subtle design tweaks both inside and out.

In terms of design, the new Audi e-tron facelift is expected to get an updated single-frame front grille with revised LED headlamps on either side. The lower part of the side doors is also expected to be tweaked, along with the rear bumper. The facelift version of the SUV could also get an updated LED tail lamp cluster.

On the inside, the updates on the e-tron facelift could be mild and limited to the addition of a few features and tech.

Reports suggest that the most important update on the electric SUV will be its battery and powertrain. The 2022 Audi e-tron is expected to get newer-gen batteries with more efficient electric motors. This could allow the SUV to offer better performance and range, compared to the current model. According to reports, the facelift version could offer a maximum range of 600 km, a massive improvement from the 441 km offered on the present version.
