Bookings are being taken for an amount of 3 lakhs. Expected price as per the dealerships is 65-70L category with the confirmation on the actual price coming later this week and deliveries are expected all the way in September :/

KIA EV6 will be priced at Rs. 65 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the RWD variant and at Rs. 70 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the AWD variant.

This results in on-road prices of Rs. 67 Lakh and Rs. 73 Lakh respectively. The EV6 will be offered in 5 colour options including a Matte Grey shade.

Given how aggressive iX4 was priced, I feel Kia could have priced 5 to 7 Lakhs lower. I will go with the iX4.

The first, will be an all-new, mass-market MPV that will be specifically developed for India, and is slated to hit the market in 2025.

The second will likely be an electric version of Kia's new compact SUV (internally known as the Kia AY), which too, is set to hit the market in 2025. This as yet unnamed SUV will be a sub-4m vehicle that will slot between the Seltos and the Sonet in Kia's India line-up. To distinguish it from the Sonet, Kia will position the AY as a lifestyle vehicle with a tougher SUV-like presence, and a taller and boxier design.

Kia India has revealed a new transformation strategy called Kia 2.0 in which the brand has set a target of 10 percent market share in the highly competitive Indian market in the next few years. As part of the new strategy, Kia will introduce more models in the market like the EV9, and will also double its touchpoints to around 600 in order to further grow its volumes and market share in the country.

Yes, the dealerships are already expanding with new dealerships planned in every district in my state, so this is a positive sign and shows Kia's intent to further enhance its market share, more touchpoints, customer focussed products and better portfolio will definitely help Kia reach its goals.

Design wise, I think its inspired by the Verna. This will be the first electric sedan in India from a mass market manufacturer. Will love to read about the performance characteristics.
