Tesla has been the undisputed leader when it comes to drivetrain efficiency so far (in terms of Wh/km). Looks like the EQS is matching the efficiency of the latest Model S Plaid, at least on paper.
770km of range, along with the typical Merc build quality and attention to detail, will make it the first real competitor to the Model S.

In my opinion this could be a Tesla Beater. Some how I hated the Tesla's center screen. I have travelled in Amsterdam and I hated the size and position of the screen. I always felt it was too big a slab.That too with white background, I felt there won't be a need for interior lighting. But the power is something different.

I wish MB brings more tastefully designed EVs.

I saw everyone talking about range and looks, comparing it with Tesla but we are missing one crucial point here is self driving capabilities in Tesla. Its still 10 year away from what Tesla has acheived already. I think autonomous driving is a big differentiator for Tesla and it will be for many years.

May I ask how you arrived at this conclusion? What part of self driving of Tesla is ten years ahead of what the EQS offers?

The Mercedes-Benz EQS has been confirmed to offer up to 350 miles of range on a charge, according to the EPA.

The flagship Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 with its 107.8 kWh battery pack can travel 340 miles (547 km) on a charge while the entry-level EQS 450+, which is fitted with a single electric motor, is rated at 350 miles (563 km) on a charge.
