Jaguar is gearing up to launch the I-Pace electric SUV on March 9, 2021.
The I-Pace is the brand's first all-electric offering. It will be offered in three variants - S, SE and HSE.
Powering the I-Pace is a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that produces 394 BHP and 696 Nm. The claimed 0-100 km/h acceleration time for the car is 4.8 seconds. The vehicle has a range of 470 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle).
In India, Jaguar will offer a complimentary 5-year service package, 5-year roadside assistance and 8-year / 1,60,000 km battery warranty. Each car will come with a 7.4 kW AC wall mounted charger.
Very curious to see how they price this for India and how it stacks up in Indian conditions. Mum's pretty much made her mind up that the next car she's getting is from the JLR stable and has her eyes set on one of the smaller SUVs (Evoque or Discovery Sport). I've thrown the i-Pace in as a rogue option and dad for one was quite taken by it so let's see. Given the sort of daily distances covered by the A4 it'll likely replace, I wonder if getting something like the i-Pace makes a good long term replacement.
Jaguar Land Rover India’s Retailer network is prepared for the I-PACE. Geared up and extensively trained, retail outlets are now EV ready in terms of infrastructure, sales and after-sales support.
22 Retailer outlets across 19 Cities with over 35 Charging points

JLR customers will also be able to charge the Jaguar I-Pace using Tata Power’s EZ Charge Network which has over 200 DC fast charging points across the country Link |

Unfortunately, most of the charging points are 25kw, and it's going to take a lot of time for the I Pace to charge up its 90kwh battery, even to 80% on those "Fast" chargers. that's 3 hours or more easily.
Jaguar India is set to launch the all electric I-Pace tomorrow at 12pm

The I-Pace is powered by two electric motors - one of each axle. They have a combined output of 394 BHP and 696 Nm. The electric motors are powered by a 90 kWh battery pack, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.

All car showrooms and service centres having compatible charging points can provide such great coverage for EVs and boost adaption.
Grossly overpriced. Even after taking into account 120% import duty and 5% GST.
Lets assume the car costs 30 lacs to manufacture, adding 120% plus adding 5% it still will not cost 1.05-1.20 cr.
Its getting annoying that manufacturers taking indians for a ride. even the eqc was overpriced and now this. we cannot afford 1 cr ev and worst of all is that this ipace is not worth 1 cr.
i doubt it will sell. all the best to jaquar but youre disappointing.
