Brilliant specs. So relevant for urban use.

Now if a small electric car like this comes to the Indian market at about 7-8L, it will truly revolutionise the EV game. I don’t really need the Nexon’s 250Nm torque, but I can certainly do with a 230km WLTP range and these fast charging abilities.

Super interesting post! Thanks for sharing.

Wondering what the top speed of this car would be given that it is an all-electric version. Regardless, would love to see this vehicle on our Indian roads as I really feel this package is something perfect for our extremely crowded cities. I feel Renault might have to further lower their price point (before government subsidies) to make it a more financially prudent offering to our customers.

Good work Renault/Dacia. This simply confirms how much value for money Nexon EV is. This also underlines the fact that it is very difficult to build a small EV with good range and price it below 10L. Renault can't bring Kwid EV to India by retaining same quality and range and price it 14L. It simply won't sell.

Re: Renault Kwid EV with up to 305 km range launched in Europe

At that price, it makes for a really compelling city runabout EV here in Europe for sure. That 305 km (190 mile) range is about par for the course as well for small urban EVs here in Europe, but that sticker price as is always the case with Dacia undercuts about everything by a good few grand. Essentially it could be a cheap alternative to Renaults excellent Zoe EV.

For those wanting to get on the EV ladder, and maybe not having the finances to stump for something like a Peugeot e-208 let alone a Honda e, then this might make for a very compelling vehicle. It comfortably must be the cheapest EV you can get in Europe. Says here that in France you could be looking at getting one for about £10,600 with govt incentives! If you needed a small runabout say in London and wanted to avoid congestion charge and for some reason didn't want to commute, heck, this becomes very enticing!

Good real world mileage test for the sort of small EVs this Kwid EV will essentially be undercutting:

In India though, it's extremely hard to see how they can manage to sell this Kwid EV, given it's bargain basement price to start. There's no way they can sell it too far south of say 10L, and even then, for your average Indian consumer it must be unconscionable to think of stumping up that much for what from the outside will always look like a regular old ICE Kwid.

The same car is sold in China for around 7 lakhs. With better safety equipment than the Chinese model, Renault can sell it to us for atleast 8 lakhs?

Don't those European prices include VAT of 19%?

If it comes to India with same specifications and safety ratings as Europe, I don't mind paying 15 big ones for this.

Dear Renault don't bring this product to India at these prices, add a little more powerful motor and strap these tech on KIGER and sell it here.

Wonder what is the price difference between this Renault EV and MG ZS EV in China and Europe, felt like it's overpriced for the specification.

We have to see whether the EU version will crush like "Paapad" in the NCAP.
If it differs then the media will take care of the rest.
