Mercedes EQC electric SUV is sold out in India!

Mercedes-Benz has sold out the first batch of the EQC electric SUV in India. While the carmaker is still accepting bookings, deliveries are only expected in February or March 2021.

The EQC was launched in India in October last year at an introductory price of Rs. 99.30 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The electric SUV uses two asynchronous 3-Phase AC motors that have a combined output of 402 BHP and 765 Nm. They are powered by an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is claimed to offer a maximum range of 400 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle).

The battery can be recharged in 21 hours using a 3.4 kW domestic socket or in 10 hours using a 7.5 kW wall-box charger that is provided by Mercedes-Benz. A DC fast charger cuts the charging time to 90 minutes.

I guess this answers the question of whether or not Tesla will be able to sell their cars at such a high price. On another note, do we know the number of EQC that were made?

Well Mercedes, is the batch 10 cars or 100? it would really add a meaning to ''sold out''.

Tesla should be a runaway success thanks to the hype and novelty factor it has generated over the last few years. But the EQC is priced atrociously and I am sure the initial numbers allocated to India would be extremely limited. They ought to bring down the prices to make it appealing to a larger group of buyers.

Is it only me, or does the headlight/grille part really look kind of broken?

I doubt if its actually sold out or "sold out" out due to single digit availability as CBU.

Felt the same when browsing from my phone. Just the reflection on glossy finish is playing with our eyes.

50 units were assigned to India and it look like all of them are booked/sold.

I drove this last month and was pleasantly surprised just how quick it was! It’s a GLC on some serious steroids. Even the massive tyres sometimes feel like they aren’t enough to put the power down.
Mercedes is not even offering their own dealers a rupee of discount for this one.

Saw this car in flesh few weeks back, low GC will put many low slung sedans to shame! Should have been more practical IMO.

Re: Mercedes EQC electric SUV is sold out in India!

So when I took the TD of this last month, there was only ONE EQC sold in Mumbai till then, and a couple in Gujrat.

Really need to know their batch size, it cannot be more than 30 cars for sure!

Maybe sales figures from past months can shed more light on the same.
