Mercedes-Benz has given a glimpse of the MBUX Hyperscreen - a large, curved screen unit that extends along the entire width of the vehicle in front of the driver and front passenger.



The Hyperscreen that will be first time optionally available in the fully electric luxury saloon EQS, will be digitally showcased on January 7 during the 2021 digital version of the Consumer Electronics Show.

The Hyperscreen incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) technology that takes the operation and display of infotainment, comfort and vehicle functions to a new level. Mercedes says that the display unit is representative of the emotional intelligence of the entire vehicle and is highly capable of learning. It enhances the digital experience of the driver and passengers and makes it intuitive and effortless

Mercedes-Benz unveiled MBUX Hyperscreen, Set to make its first appearance in the 2022 EQS.











The Hyperscreen is actually three screens: a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 17.7-inch infotainment screen, and a 12.3-inch screen for the front passenger.

The MBUX system powering the Hyperscreen has been revamped with a zero-layer interface that gives users access to features without scrolling through menus.

It uses artificial intelligence to adapt the infotainment system to the user's needs and habits featuring a "zero-layer interface," meaning the user can reach features without having to scroll through menus or use voice commands. Instead, important apps are always available on the screen within the driver's field of vision, Mercedes said.

So, for instance, if a driver regularly calls someone at a particular time of day, the system will prompt them to make a call to that person at that given time. Or if a user raises the car using the air suspension at a given location on a regular basis, such as at a speed bump or driveway, the system will learn that behavior and do it for the user

First official teaser of the Mercedes EQS 2022, the luxury electric saloon is coming.

The Mercedes EQS 2022 will be the new standard of luxury for the star, ahead of the S-Class.

The star brand's all-electric luxury saloon will debut in just a few months and will be the first to release the new MBUX hyper-screen .

the new generation electric vehicles based on the EVA 2.0 platform.

Presented the advance of the new Mercedes EQS, confirming some very interesting details. A model, currently in test, and that has already begun to be uncovered , although for now it only shows the lateral shape.

The new Mercedes EQS is getting closer and closer. Its world debut will take place in April , one of the most important novelties of the Shanghai Auto Show 2021, going on sale and reaching the main European dealers in November 2021 . The German brand will offer different power levels, with configurations of one or two electric motors and rear or full propulsion.

We all know that Mercedes-Benz is a trend setter. While some of us are debating about the good and bad touch screens and displays on dashboards, Merc has unveiled a full curved dash display combining 3 screens: Instrument cluster, MBUX (ICE) and the climate control/passenger entertainment display.

It looks stunning. Look at that! Called as the Mercedes MBUX Hyperscreen will be offered on upcoming S Class electric limousine and SUV.




Comes with AI enabled OLED screen having 7 different profiles, and few high tech features including location based ride height adjustment.

It might be limited to few countries as not all countries allow(yet) full glass dashboard due to crash safety.

Looks cool, but I personally don't like the idea. Firstly, Any touchscreen device is a HUGE fingerprint and swirl mark magnet. Imagine how bad would this start looking after just a full day of fingers running all over it!
Another thing is, in these times of WFH, online classes, social media, video conferences and killing boredom through reading on Kindle or spending time on the internet, the last thing our eyes need is even more screen time.
Add to this the fact that touchscreens have been known to be a big distraction to drivers.
Quoting from an article, ''Doing our research, when a driver would reach towards a touch-screen interface in any vehicle, they would unintentionally apply torque to the steering wheel, and the vehicle would drift out of its lane position."

If this is ever implemented, it is likely to become a market trend, and soon all cars will have it. In that case, I would really miss the times when a car wasn't an electronic gadget.

Yeaa!!! So now when one display conks out, we probably just have to "replace" the ENTIRE DASHBOARD, including the digital speedometer and even AC vents

Didn't know glass was the next big premium material! Can't wait to touch that glass! Or will it be similar to the glass I'm swiping on to write this post?

The luxury market of the future is certainly having it's rules rewritten. I really don't know how we're going to differentiate between premium and budget cars with the new screen trend.

I don't understand this screen trend. We all spend the majority of the day in front of screens anyway. I'm so confused with how the car markets are going.

2022 Mercedes EQS interior fully revealed in official images

The new MBUX Hyperscreen is at the forefront of that design evolution, presented by three large displays under a single scratch-resistant glass that covers the entire dashboard. Of note, the system utilizes eight CPU cores, 24 GB of RAM, and 46.4 GB per second RAM bandwidth.

In terms of haptic perception, the MBUX Hyperscreen offers haptic feedback that uses force feedback on both the center and passenger displays. There are also 12 actuators located under the touchscreen surfaces, which can trigger a tangible vibration upon contact.
