I believe that the homologation regulations would apply and Tesla will not be able to sell more than the designated 2500 limit per year until the point they set up a plant here.

More than that, the biggest determining factor I think will be the availability of a charger/ supercharger network. We are still at a pretty nascent stage with respect to that.

Sure hope this is true. Not just coz I got Tata motors stock but so we can get CKD priced Teslas! Given that they have a direct distribution, they could pass on all if not some of that benefit to customers and price their cars very competitively.

Tesla doesn't do CKD route normally and typically build all the components under the same roof no?
Since they don't source out parts, will this not be difficult, unless and until they want to speed up the entrance?

I really hope they get a good charging network sorted down south by my Cybertruck reservation's fulfilment date!

And of course, it also depends on the condition of getting the Cybertruck approved for use in India and that Tesla would allow me to move my reservation from UAE to India.

India is the new addition to the Tesla source code, February 14 2021 is the day when India was added in to the source code. This just shows that Tesla India progress is going on
