what a fantastic car ! when is this expected to come to India ?
I can hold on to my skoda rapid Tdi DSG for few more years and I think electric is the way to go in 3-5 yrs from now.

Škoda trademarks ENIAQ iV ( changing only the third letter for the third vowel). To be unveiled in November.

Will it be the Coupe version of ENYAQ iV? Spied on test in camouflage and in mock pre-production guise too.

The camouflage that presents the prototype conceals the fixed window behind the rear doors or the rear lights , indicating that it is very close to the production model, a technique that Skoda's use when the presentation approaches. And it is not another model, since it has the registration of the Czech firm, and has been hunted together with a Kodiaq that acts as a support

you’re not allowed to force the blocks in, though there is some leeway: after all, carpets and upholstery allow for a little give. The ŠKODA ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV: dynamic and sporty

There will be a choice of three powertrain variants for the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV. Both the ENYAQ iV 60 producing 132 kW and the ENYAQ iV 80 with an 82-kWh battery that delivers 150 kW and boasts a range of more than 520 km* in the WLTP cycle are rear-wheel drive.
The ENYAQ iV 80x features two electric motors with a combined output of 195 kW and all-wheel drive. This variant will complete the range later this year.

While I understand where he is coming from but my two cents are:

Given the reasonable success one can see for the Nexon with its mediocre 200 km real world range, the biggest deterrent to EV adoption to my mind is range anxiety.

I believe if you have a credible 500 km range offering (say 400 kms in real world) there will be enough two / two+ car households that will be open to purchasing a premium car as an EV.

The question is, does Skoda have the confidence to be a path leader on this front or would it rather just wait it out for a few years to come in when its later. Strategically I guess it does not find the risk worth taking if the numbers will still be modest. But it is making an impact statement for the future so has its own brand building benefits to launch something like this at a correct /sensible price. (Not a 28 lakh Kona I mean).

I like the Enyaq, but I somehow do not like the look of the Enyaq from the rear three-quarter angle. I think the coupe bodystyle will make things better.

One can order the ŠKODA Enyaq iV from Wednesday. Prices start from £31,085 OTR, choice of 58 or 77kWh batteries and WLTP range up to 333 miles.

Up to 125kW charging with 77kWh version. UK deliveries start early summer.
