The new Cadillac Lyriq electric crossover makes its debut. The production electric SUV will go into production in late 2022.



The Cadillac Lyriq is the brand's first electric vehicle and the first of any GM product to use the new modular electric platform, powered by the company's Ultium long-range batteries. The Lyriq's 100-kilowatt-hour setup gives it 300 miles of range, level 2 charging rates of up to 19 kilowatts, and DC fast-charging of more than 150 kilowatts.





Cadillac says the Lyriq will come in both a standard rear-wheel-drive configuration and a performance all-wheel-drive option.





Lyriq has one of the largest infotainment displays anywhere. A 33-inch diagonal LED display sits front and center, and it's a single, massive screen that extends from behind the steering wheel to the center of the dash.

Looks good except the rear C pillar coupe like design. I like how sleek it looks and also seems very wide.
The Americans are really doing great with truck and SUV designs having given up on cars.

Looks like it may do good in the Chinese market where it's looks are more appreciated and admired, as for the rest of the world it's a concept/car that no one will buy or give a second glance in the sea of awkwardly styled electric concepts with a barrowed naming scheme to appear hip and cool (I.e lyriq- Hyundai ioniq)

Cadillac’s first electric SUV will undercut rivals from Tesla, Mercedes-Benz and Audi.

Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV will feature a futuristic AR head-up panel for its main user interface. The heads up display is powered by Envisics, which is a UK-based augmented reality startup with an expertise in holograms.

What Envisics has developed is a headset-free, in-car holography system that aims to transform the way we view the road. How? 2023 Cadillac Lyriq unveiled in Production Form, it looks just like the concept.



The production version does lose some original cues, like the oversized wheels and side-mounted cameras, swapping them for 20- or 22-inch wheels and traditional side mirrors



The Lyriq measures 4996 mm long, 1977 mm wide and 1623 mm tall with a wheelbase of 3094 mm.



At launch, the Lyriq will feature a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and a rear-mounted electric motor that produces an estimated 340 hp and 440 Nm and an EPA-estimated range of at least 300 miles (483 kilometers).



Rear-wheel drive will come standard, but Cadillac reiterated that the all-wheel-drive Performance version will arrive later on.





Lyriq will have the ability to charge at public DC fast-charging stations at a rate of 190 kilowatts, which gives the Cadillac 76 miles of range in just 10 minutes. There’s also an available 19.2-kW home-charging module



There's a massive 33.0-inch LED display sits front and center on the dash, able to recreate over one billion colors.



Cadillac will begin accepting reservations in September and pricing will begin at $59,990. Deliveries are slated to begin in the first half of 2022.

Cadillac Lyriq has officially started production from the Tennessee plant. If GM can get it right this time, they can create some serious competition for other luxury players in this segment.
