Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

2024 with this design, probably Mahindra's target is upgrade for eVerito.

The peak power is 150ps and 310Nm torque. Nexon EV max has peak power of 143ps and 250Nm torque.

Side note, the aftermarket bronze delete wraps for this car will do good business. I'm still trying to wrap my head around who in the world greenlit this design.

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

I drive the 3OO, I find no specific difference in the interiors. I am not sure why the interiors looks more like the W4/6 model rather than the top end W8 (O). Also, for God's sake, someone please punch some holes to the front grill. It looks like a closed elevator. Other than that, the car is an exact replica of the 3OO. They have kept the wheel base the same and increased the length of the car, reason why you have a large boot.

M&M - please explain the logic of your launch, price announcements and deliveries please. It gives an average customer no clue. You launch the car, don't announce prices, then you announce prices, don't take bookings. One fine day, you start bookings and your sites crash. Later you thump your chest saying you crossed 50K bookings in under one hour which is a record. Good but do you have at least 1000 cars to deliver after bookings? The answer is NO. You start deliveries after an year. Your booking process is all over the place. Please simplify it. And your delivery timelines are crazy, won't work for eternity. I can't stand a waiting period of more than 10-12 weeks.

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

Find the interior very bland. Should have taken some inspiration from XUV700. The rear of the car although different from 300 still doesnt seem to do away with the chopped look of 300.
Being a electric car, they could have made is sharper.

Have you seen the latest designs of the "born electric" platform? They seem overly done.

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

What is this abomination? Mahindra should seriously outsource the external design and interiors of their cars to someone more competent (and sober), and stick to just manufacturing engines, maybe. I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the signature muddled booking process, artificial bottle-necking of deliveries, multiple price increases as people keep waiting so that their grandsons can take delivery of the 'new' car.

The extensive use of copper accents all over the car including the dual tone roof.

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

Mahindra wasted the “400” branding. They could have just named it XUV 350 EV or XUV 300 EV itself and kept the XUV 400 name for another model as this EV body shape is same to same XUV 300.

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

Mahindra have intentionally inserted copper elements in design, so that when the whole car starts rusting, the car after few years will look brand new.

With so much of R & D ammunition with Mahindra, why can't they design a fresh chassis and design for EV only? They literally need to up their sleeves as when brands like BYD enters market, then Mahindra won't be able to compete them efficiently.

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

Black looks like the best colour option, white and blue are too hideous. Also, rear look is much improved. But, why such a long gap between unveil and price reveal?

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

Oh man, the bronze inserts

Mahindra has really let down on the design department. This is plain lazy.
Thank god, I didn't wait around for this and went ahead the ZS.

The powertrain numbers are good, hopefully the pricing is competitive.

Good to see more manufacturers entering the EV space, this also means more emphasis on charging infrastructure.

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

This is one of the ugliest cars i have ever seen. I would not even want to stand next to it let alone own one. This is not the design expected from Prathap Bose. Even a novice would have done a better job i guess. The design direction automobile companies are heading to is one that is not pleasing to the eye nor is it good to look at. The future seems dark to me if cars start looking like this in the years ahead.

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

I had great expectations! Even was about to book one. But what is this? Especially the bronze colour looks very dull and odd. Interiors are said to get some tweeks at the time of final release. But the aftermarket music system could have been better in the demo car itself.

Re: Mahindra XUV400 Electric to get 350 - 400 km range

Perhaps they could've used actual copper which would eventually oxidise to a fitting EV green. But I don't suppose it's battery or even the car itself will last that long. This does look like something made to distract us while they work on their real EVs.
