Tips For Taking Tight U-Turns
1. Always check all the mirrors before making a U turn.
2. If your car has a poor turning radius or if the U-turn is very tight, just before the U-turn, pull the car to the left a bit and then cut right at the apex of the turn. Its like a racing line but its taken at sedate speeds. You start wide and cut the apex and get out wide....but in the city its best not to exit wide as you have to be careful of traffic. This way, three point turns can be avoided at most times.
And always remember, take u-turns with caution and at sane speeds.
For getting out a tight space (For Front Wheel Drives Only)
If you turn the wheel to full lock, and apply just the right amount of wheelspin for just the right amount of time, you can get out of tight spots without having to put reverse gear many times to get out. Example - parallel parking.
Word of caution - This technique requires a very good control on your clutch and accelerator, so dont do it while parallel parked unless you have mastered it, because if you get it wrong, its highly likely that you would bang into parked cars in front of you.
Other Tips
1. Keep your car as visible as possible on the roads at all times. (Reason why my fogs are on, even in the day.

)
2. Dont cross speed limits, they are there for a reason.
3. Be prepared for the worst. Always assume that the other drivers will do
something stupid.
4. Keep your car in good health, especially the brakes and the tyres.
5. On a slope, dont balance the car on the clutch, it ruins your clutch plates.
Use the handbrake instead.
6. While waiting first in line at a signal, it may not be the best idea to apply
the hanbrake, use the footbrake, because if some car hits you from the
back, the handbrake may not be enough to stop you from being pushed
right into a busy intersection.
7. Practice lane driving, signal for lane changes, and DONOT TAILGATE.
8. Lastly, Alcohol and cars dont mix. Proof of that is the recent crashed
Octavia RS at haji ali.
So drive safe dudes.
