I meant the hardware part, do understand that pcm,bcm etc. would need to be modified.
Hey, for Figo you can try with old EcoSport or 2013 global fiesta part number as the steering is same. For these models the switch comes on the RHS of the steering and you might need a 4 pin connector to the RHS side of the steering. It's a direct plug and play. The part number I gave is only for the new EcoSport.

You can also search abroad for Ka or Ka+(this is the name for figo internationally) for cruise control switch, switch bezel and wiring. You will need to enable cruise control in BCM and IPC

For my ecosport, as there 10 buttons with cruise control switch, I had to use 8 pin connector. My stock connector was 4 pin

Thanks a lot for the inputs Jithin was finally able to find the switch on boodmo using ecosport. Hoping it's fits my Figo.(only problem I see is that it has LHS orientation instead should be RHS). Surprised that part you listed is just 700 bucks while this costs 3k.
If the switch orientation is proper then next task is to find the 4 pin connector and the silver v shape mount on steering with cutout for placing the switch. Lot of search done on boodmo but looks like a dead end for such simple plastic part , will need to visit FASS to get the part number.
The warrenty got over in Dec 2020 am willing to give it a try too

The platinum edition EcoSport(2017) came with cruise control in India. Try checking with platinum editon owners and request them to share their VIN. Then you can place an order for the part from FASS and the orientation will be on the RHS for the cruise control switch. You also need to get the steering bezel from this car or from AliExpress as the current bezel will need to be cut.

If you're lucky to find a totaled 2017 platinum edition EcoSport or a 2015 make Fiesta, you can get the wiring harness too and the steering wheel

Nice thread Jithin. I was wondering, If I enable Turn by Turn navigation using forscan, Will it void my warranty?

Please do post the progress of your quest in this thread. I have a Freestyle 1.5 and this mod seems too good.
Try contacting Autoji Ford Parts, Mumbai for spares (9130072265) if same isn't available online.

As long as there no wire cutting involved, there will be no warranty issues. Also, it depends uon the rapport with your service center.

I have installed sync 3.4 from cyan labs and no issues to date. Remember, navigation in MID works only if you have sync 3 v 3.4

Does this shop have the wiring harness for the steering control switches too? If yes, it will benefit thousands of Ford owners.

I'm clueless about that, please try contacting them over phone(number above). One more doubt, CC can be enabled irrespective of car having SYNC3 / Fly Audio right ??

I was googling related to cruise control in Ford. Look what I Found. The last one is Freestyle. Either Ford is clueless about this or they just copied the Euro-spec brochure ( KA+ sold in UK, Brazil has the same steering setup with CC buttons).

Yes, CC works irrespective of the head unit. Cruise control work with BCM, PCM and IPC modules and it's not related to APIM

Looks like Ford India has copied the Brazilian website content to the Indian one. Their product management and IT team need to work properly and not misinform customers.

Let's tweet this issue to Ford India because they need to be aware of this major goof up

I did mail this to Ford India. They lined up a call with Regional Service head & my service center folks within 2-3 hours. They gave me a comprehensive lecture saying that since my car doesn't have buttons on right side of steering , cruise control cannot work

After the highly valuable technical discussion, I asked the guy If he would be able to fit the part if I ordered one. For this he was OK, but said he had no idea about programming.

They agreed to fit the part with wiring itself is a big thing! Coding we can do it ourselves or if they can scan through FDRS(Dealers have this software with them) it's a 2 min job to enable the codes. I'd say get it done when they themselves have told you that they'll help with the fitting. That's the major part

For the old EcoSport, new Figo, Aspire and Freestyle, here's a post on Facebook who has installed it in his car. It's Idumbakumar who did this mod in his pre facelift EcoSport.

Hope this might help all those who are on the fence for cruise control in the mentioned models.

Hi i am idumbakumar, I have installed the Cruise on Prefacelift as well and checking the programing details and feasibility on figo and freestyle models.
For prefacelift these parts are not child (except switch) so the trim and wire harness are not coming as a child part. And the switch cost hefty 3.2k, yes true.
So either you need to get the entire steering wheel or the modifications to be done on the existing trim. I have modified the existing trim since i couldn't find it available separately. And the harness is modified with matching crimping pins so that everything look neat as stock.

Please get in tocuh with me @9940060908
I will support for the installation on both pre and facelift variants if you are in chennai.

Hey Jithin,

I've not noticed the long press and couldn't try it as I've not had a chance to test the same with no recent highway drives. Thanks for your input. It actually helps the lazy me as I was applying brakes to slow down by 10-20 kmph and regain momentum to activate Cruise Control .

On another note, the Flyaudio infotainment systems now on the variants below Titanium S are now running on Android OS if I'm not wrong. Is there a way we can run android apps on the same . I'm not technically knowledgeable enough to fiddle with it, but any inputs would be of help and if someone's already done it, I'd request the readers to direct me to that thread as I couldn't find one.

For speed limiter, the long press works with a difference of 10km/h for cruise control it works with a difference of 2km/h. You can also use the CAN function for early braking and RES to go back to the set speed. That's fun and you'd basically be controlling the car with the steering (provided you don't shift gears often if u have MT variant)

There's a dongle which connects to fly audio to enable Android auto and phone mirroring. That dongle costs about 2k and does the job. Another method is to go for a hypersonic system which looks similar to.sync 3 screen but the cost is 10-15k

Also this post from Facebook might help: https://m.facebook.com/groups/ecospo...cus_composer=0

An update. I tried enabling compass and navigation in the IPC for a fly audio variant car and the navigation nor compass works. So this works only for those who have sync 3 and 4" MID.
