He charged me Rs.500 for the Swift, but seeing that he'd done a good job, I got him to do the Scorpio too, and paid him another Rs.500 despite some protests. Maybe he'd have liked a couple of hundred extra, but he got 2 cars to do together, so did not prevail about asking more money.

Do they need an electricity point when they come to your place?

Might be a problem for people living in high rise apartments.

Or their equipments work from 12V of their/our vehicle?

Good point - yes, he does need a 220V power outlet to run the wet vacuum cleaner (seen in the pic). This cannot run from a 12V point. But he carries extraaalooong extension wires to plug in somewhere convenient, although it may be a rare issue to find a suitable 220V power outlet at certain places / highrises.

Edit: Without using that vacuum, fabric seats & ceilings remain wet/moist for days after cleaning. With the vacuum being used, they are 90% dry by the time he completes his job. Should not be so much of an issue with leather seats though.

Nice to know about such service.
My question - Does he take care of the A/C vent grills properly, I mean cleaning between the fins (as there deposits a lot grime)??

Sir - Does the Rs 500 job include rubbing/polishing of the exteriors + the interiors of a hatch? Bumped into this thread at the right time i guess as my spark desperately needs a roof job.

He charges separately for rubbing & polishing the exterior paintwork. Rs.500 is for cleaning the interiors only. But then, I suppose you can always bargain!

Thanks for the information. I will try him one of these days at my GK2 residence.

So, has anyone else used Vijay's services? Another review would be appreciated.

Did he clean the roof as well??

Hi SS,

I used the services of this chap last weekend to get the interiors of my alto cleaned.
My alto was so soiled on the inside all thanks to a numerous in car parties over last six months that I used to feel repulsed while driving it!!

This guy did a brilliant job for peanuts (500 bucks). Now I can see the actual colour of the carpet.

He left a few corners unattended but than I was not there personally to supervise him and at this price I am not complaining.

Thanks for the excellent contact.

cheers
vishwas

Has anyone used his services lately? I need the interiors of my punto to be cleaned thoroughly, before the Delhi summer and sweat sets in.

Yes, I called him in to both do the interiors and polish both my cars last month. Satisfactory job as usual.
Edit: Got him to clean up the sofas too.
