Here are some pictures of the Mono rail on the move. I have captured it in Sentosa in Singapore. The another one is the Water front Mono Rail station near the Sentosa Merlion and Universal Studios in Singapore.

The trials of Mumbai Mono Rail are in full swing (there has been a lot of delay, but we can leave the cribbing for another day). These pics taken near Bhakti Park where multiple trial runs are a common sight these days.

Lovely pictures, cant wait for it to start. These would be more of a joyride than a means of commute initially (as it was with Delhi Metro, I know becaus I was one of the joy riders

Hi all, As per latest news the monorail in Mumbai is expected to start operating on 02nd Feb 2014 from Wadala to Chembur. The beginning of monorail will not only bring relief to the commuters and the choked roads of Mumbai but will also reduce the burden from the local trains which are called the life line of Mumbai.

Though many consignments came since the time I had posted first METRO pics but due to photography ban inside port I did not post any pics on public forum.
We got our photo permissions re-isntated inside port limits from 1st Jan and here is the latest delivery:

The thread title and the initial posts mention Mumbai Metro Rail but the last few posts are of the Mumbai Monorail! Both the transit systems are different AFAIK. They even have different Wiki pages - Mumbai Metro and Mumbai Monorail.

I believe the Monorail part deserves a different thread (from post#45) or perhaps a different title for the thread.
