Current Saraj Mazda products are renamed as SML ISUZU, after Isuzu acquiring some shares.

Re: The Heavy Trucks thread

On my way to Bangalore from Thalassery, I saw many AshLey trucks with these badgings:
TUSKER GOLD
TUSKER Turbo
2214 SUPER
COMET Junior
Bison (SFC cab)

I don't recollect seeing these models before (except Bison). Can anyone shed more light on their specifications, market response (guess there wasn't much), why they bombed/are not available in the market etc?

It's either 8x4 or 8x8, I suppose.

Re: The Heavy Trucks thread

Last Sunday ( yesterday ) some friends were out for a drive and we spotted these.

These are Ural trucks made in Haldia near Calcutta by Ural India Ltd in collaboration with Uralaz of Russia.

More info here Welcome to URAL

On inspection we found that these trucks are 6X6 . Two of them were undergoing some sort of servicing and one was in working condition. We were told that each tyre costs Rs.80,000.

Re: The Heavy Trucks thread

Wanted to post this query long ago. Most of the Car-carrier trailers have TM LPS3516c/4018c tractors. Very rarely do I get to see an AL 3516 tractor. And of late, I got to see a couple of U-3518TTs. 9/10 car carriers are from TM. How did they grab such a huge share in this area?

These are the ones I'm talking about:

TM in AL's guise

Caught this some 15 year old tractor with a New gen cab in Ennore express highway. The surprise was its a TM (LPS 3015?) tractor fitted with a Ashokleyland's New Gen cab. Most interesting is it even had the Air intake system and "L" Logo in grill.

Sir how did you find out that its a TML? Otherwise for any Layman it looks like a battered AL new gen tractor. But then how did they manage to obtain such a old cab. The new cabs are very recent arent they?

Sorry for poor photography - If I had shot the complete side angle then it would be fine.
I identified with that only.
How did they get this cab is still not clear as this is relatively new one. And normally in accidents, cab will be damaged and so they replace NewGen cabs with normal Namakkal cabin. SO cabs from accident truck is also ruled out. Only chance is this would be sold by operator who bought the truck with cab and then replacing in with Namakkal cab.

Re: The Heavy Trucks thread

This thread is hereby closed.

We love trucks! Just like the Indian Car Scene section, where every car gets its own thread, we will now create a new thread for each commercial vehicle. Discussing multiple vehicles on a single thread leads to a diluted discussion; important vehicles might get lost in the middle of a multi-page thread.

Please create a new thread for every Commercial Vehicle worth discussing with other enthusiasts.

Thanks!
