Are you sure of the fact that there were 5 axles?? Also was this in the Prima Range of trucks or the normal range??
What is happening with the emissions for trucks? Now it is BS-III in rural and BS-IV in urban right? But is it implemented? Can I get a BS-II truck registered right now?
Any idea?

Yes, you can register a BS II truck. The norms enforces that they are not to be produced here after. The trucks produced till sep 30 can be registered any time.

All Truck freaks,
Have a look at amazing video Full series from History channel
3 Drivers Taking survivor test on LPT1613's on Himalayan roads. |
In all the 3 episodes, i see only a single AL vehicle, which shows the dominance of TM in Himalayan roads. The drivers are scared of the Green bus, [ i think Pujab Roadways], The episodes are nicely picturized and worth watching, if you could tolerate the frequest cursing of indians (eg, India is a country of retarded drivers etc....)
this is in front of our house now.:D

What is that? Looks like some kind of shredder or thresher. Or is it a flour mill?
That looks more like some kind of pulveriser / stone crusher to me. Multiple pieces of same thing in the vehicle.

yes these are Multi Crop Thresher's.
our neighbor sells them & within 2 months has sold around 20 truck loads of them.:Shockked:
jeepster, that is actually good news. The farmers are actually mordenising their trade. But now, we are going off topic. ;-)
that truck holding the farm equipment looks quite long but the overhangs look factory built and not an aftermarket job like the ones posted earlier in this thread. overall the vehicle looks like a 1612-1613 or a 1510.

Thanks Ashley. But has any CV manufacturer launch BS-IV diesel vehicles?
Good news...Tata PRIMA enters Kerala market. The first customer is Cochin based crane service operator. The vehicle has already reached TML dealer yard at cochin. The first one is a 6x4 model (4923). Also another model 4023 is in pipeline.

ALL has started its BS IV in bus range.
But I beleive its yet to start its sales with BS IV engines.
But soon or later the U truck range will have these compliant engines.
