"Panel van"?. Looks like the same Xylo sold here, doesn't it?.
this is probably the cargo version of the XYLO. on similar lines as Tata had launched one such variant based on Sumo in India some years back.
I see some of the fellow members jumping to conclusion when they saw the photos of Xylo pickup truck being tested in india.
this truck is not for india, it only for EXPORT!
so dont stress and take it easy, M&M is not doing anything stupid to launch this in india!
lol:
With so many critisizing the frowning front and a disproportional rear of the Xylo, is M&M considering a revamped version?
Some more pictures of this vehicle on The Bengaluru-Pune Highway.
I spotted this when i was myself in a XYLO and later this vehicle was spotted in the same Restaurant that we had stopped.
I tried to talk with the M&M guys as expected, They didn't utter a word.
The Interiors are just a Cntrl+C Cntrl+V of the Xylo (the picture of the interiors here is not so good though)
I feel that Xylo sales might dip because of the truck image that this will build. Pretty similar to Indica.
@ Hemanth, good catch!!
To me it doesn't look 'exactly same' as Xylo. I would say the front looks better then Xylo.
All this points to the potential to make a XYLO model lower than the E2, maybe a E0
i think this will be for the export markets. mahindra would be foolish if they launch this in india.
@Hemanth, if you see the 3rd pic closely you will notice an Engineer sitting on the Co-driver seat with a laptop. It seems some calibration was going on. Usually these guys wont speak, is there anything specific you wanna know? Ask me.
Spike:D
Why do Indian manufacturers build the pickup trailers in such a crude fashion? they could have easily integrated the trailer onto the main cabin, that would make it much more pleasing to the eyes.
Something like this

I personally would prefer a pick up truck which has around 4-5 seaters and then with a trailer behind.
the one I see in the pic I guess is a commercial carrier (to me it looks like a bigger Tata Ace) than a passenger pick up truck.
If that is the case then they might try selling with that. Surely not as a passenger segment pick up truck.
The front looks neat. In another thread, I have posted nwes about a facelifted Xylo.
If ever there was a car that needed a facelift, the Xylo has to be that one. Unfortunately, a facelift cannot disguise the bloated side profile.
