Isuzu becomes India’s leading exporter of commercial vehicles

Isuzu emerged as the top exporter of commercial vehicles from India in FY2024-25.

Isuzu’s exports grew by 24% from 16,329 units in FY2023-24 to 20,312 units in FY2024-25.

Isuzu’s manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, caters to both left-hand drive and right-hand drive markets. The factory recently achieved the production milestone of 100,000 units.

Isuzu exports made-in-India commercial vehicles to markets across Asia and the Middle East, including Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Jordan.

Wow! This is news to me! I am wondering what is stopping them from launching facelifts in India and exporting them from here? Also, this clarifies on how they are surviving in India. One word - exports.

India is gaining market share across the entire automobile spectrum. Even in two wheelers the gain that Hero Motocorp is showing are very good. They have hit 40000 exports last month.

Totally agree! I had been waiting for the Renault Grand Scenic to launch in India for a couple of years but eventually settled for the Toyota Innova. Later, I hoped the upgraded Isuzu MU-X—already launched in Thailand and Australia—would make it here, but ended up going with the Fortuner instead. It's frustrating how long it takes (or never happens) for some global models or facelifts to reach the Indian market.
